14.01.2022 We had hoped to provide our customers with certainty and continuity of service throughout this second wave. However, with coronavirus case numbers still at shocking levels throughout Melbourne we have made the difficult decision that it is time we play our part by closing our store until the end of this latest lockdown. We will reopen again as soon as the lockdown ends. If you need service before then you can book a pickup and delivery service through our sister company lau...ndrypoint.com.au As always we tried to contact every customer with items still in store. If you still have items with us don't worry, they are perfectly safe and will be available for collection upon our return. Stay safe everyone. We look forward to seeing you again on the other side.
13.01.2022 The landlords of our 101 Collins St store have declined to renew our lease, opting instead to pursue a restaurant into our space combined with two other empty stores. We had hoped that the pandemic may cause them to rethink their decision but sadly they are pushing ahead even now. Therefore we regret to announce the store's closure after some 30 years on 31/5/2020. We are reopening to allow our valued clients time to pick up their clothes during the following opening hours:... Monday - Friday 8am - 2pm We dearly thank our beloved clients for all of the support we have received over the years and we thank everyone for their patience as we were operating with temporary staff as the end drew nigh. Our Port Melbourne store has just reopened after closing in April due to the pandemic and it is providing the same highly experienced, high quality service that you have come to expect from us, although also on reduced hours. 13.01.2022 What a year 2020 has been! From all of us at Renes Dry Cleaners we just want to say... Thank goodness that's over! The pandemic was very difficult for dry cleaners as no one wore suits, went out in their finest clothes, got married etc for a very, very long time. We can't thank our valued staff and clientele for their support this year enough - without you all we simply would not have survived. But we did. So after 43 years' our family business can continue to serve you in... 2021. Please be aware of our store closure over Xmas - we traditionally close the year between Xmas and New Year to give our incredibly hardworking staff a break and this year is no exception. We close at 5pm on Xmas Eve and reopen at 8am on Monday 4 Jan. Until then we wish you all a very Merry Xmas and a much calmer and more predictable new year.
11.01.2022 We are pleased to announce that we are pushing on with extending our opening hours to try to get back to some kind of normality for our wonderful and loyal staff and clientele. Our Port Melbourne store is now open as follows: Monday-Friday 8am-5.30pm Saturday 8am-1pm... We are of course continuing to follow all recommended protocols for our industry and value above all else your safety and ours. Clothes cleaned by us through dry cleaning or indeed as standard laundry are just as safe as your own freshly washed hands. We hope to see you in store soon.
11.01.2022 Congratulations Melbourne! Finally we have light at the end of the tunnel with business getting back to COVID normal from November 1 at the latest. Melbourne may not be able to come alive quite as much as it usually does in Spring, but there will no doubt be coffees & dinners & Friday night drinks of some form or fashion. 08.01.2022 Important Announcement Regarding Our Opening Hours During The Coronavirus Outbreak Turns out if no one goes to work or social functions they don't need dry cleaning very much. We have had to make the following changes to try to survive the impact that this has had on business:... 1. We are reducing our opening hours across all stores to 8.30am-5.30pm with the Port Melbourne store only also open on Saturdays 9am-1pm 2. We are only running our plant on Tuesdays and Fridays so there may be longer turnaround times for collecting garments 3. We are closing our Bourke St store permanently, last day 27th March 2020. Please ensure all clothes are collected by then. Clothes not collected in time will be available for collection at our 114 Flinders Lane store. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you. Please remember the impact that this is also having on this family business and their staff and be kind when dealing with us. We are all going through this terrible time together. Hopefully we'll still be here on the other side of this when normal service can resume. Stay safe.
