25.01.2022 To help me stay grounded and look after my health (head &body) ive made a patch at mullum gardens where i can grow WHATEVER I WANT...so excited. Needed to prep the soil first though so ive added some zeolite, crusher dust, innoculant, compost, cardboard mulch and of course some ready to go biochar from @byron_biochar. Biochar is such a good additive for so many reasons and im lucky to be in an area where i can get the best quality! With this wet weather ill start planting it out in the next few days and ive been working on a nice planting plan to incorporate veges and herbs so keep an eye out!!

17.01.2022 Any organic gardener or permie will know the value of cardboard. I use it as the base of all new garden beds....it kills the weeds or grass (while allowing the decomposing goodness back into the soil) and as it breaks down it encourages microbes to come to play -particularly fungi which likes the corrugations. Only draw back is the crazy amount of sticky tape they use which has to come off. Sunday funday is spent prepping materials for the growing new vege patch. #growyourownveges #cardboard #letthemicrobesplay #onemansrubbishanothergardenerstreasure

10.01.2022 These wicking beds i built for my client last year couldnt be working better. As a busy full time worker and mum of two, time is a luxury but she can still have her own veges!! She only needs to top up the water reservoir every couple of weeks and the veges are pumping! The compost buckets in the middle feed the soil too! 08.01.2022 Its beginning to look a lot like a hothouse. One of the most challenging building projects ive ever done....it was half designed and half built then left abandonded and working on other peoples projects without them can leave you often wondering what they were thinking. I also had the challenge of using scrap bits of wood to make the frame.... I love the challenege of using what you have and its very good at building problem solving skills... Weve got something up and she feels pretty sturdy...ive now left it to be finished by the guys at the lighthouse...have fun! The rest of the IBCs will be wicking beds, made like the ones in the forefront with little worm towers in the middle which we did as one of our PDC activities and should pump out some veg. #wickingbeds #hothouse #diychallenges #growyourownfood #problemsolving

01.01.2022 When something goes down, it must come up.....Im excited to announce that Ive been offered a job teaching permaculture in the northern rivers! Im both nervous and excited...a whole new wave of learning has begun as i will be getting mentored by people that I have looked up to since the beginning of my permaculture journey and so many other gardeners and teachers that have been doing this stuff for a long time. Feeling pretty stoked to have been offered this challenege. As Ive officially moved back to the rainbow region Im looking for a sweet little spot to park my home on wheels around Mullum.....Im only in need of a bathroom, good vibes and a place to grow some vege. 01.01.2022 I got to spend the night in one of the most magical houses Ive ever been in with some very rad humans. This dome sat above a man made cave system that fills with hot water to make spa/saunas that made you feel like you were back in the womb next to a pool nestled high in the mountain with boardwalks and birds everywhere.
