24.01.2022 A piece of sunshiney happiness for me, in amongst the disappointment of last night's election :) Yesterday I found out that Loren Kate - one of the most talente...d singer-songwriters I've ever had the pleasure of listening to, and whose songs I know every word to - is providing the music for the doco Albert Jamae and I have made about my project for the DreamBig Children's Festival, 'An Anthology of Un-kept Secrets'! Visit the Adelaide Festival Centre and you can watch our film playing in the Space Theatre foyer throughout the festival, along with an exhibition of artwork by Jacob Logos and the book we have made of feelings shared by children and teens from around South Australia. 20.01.2022 Thanks to Mindshare SA for sharing our film on their website! This is the short doco that Albert Jamae and I made about my project for the DreamBig Children's F...estival, called 'Anthology of Un-kept Secrets'. It's all about sharing thoughts and feelings...and discovering how much we all share in common, beneath our different identities. You can check it out here: See more
17.01.2022 What an amazing week! I had my first two school workshops for my 2019 DreamBig Children's Festival project, collecting feelings for 'An Anthology of Un-kept Secrets'... I worked with beautiful children aged 11-13, from Syria, Afghanistan, Korea, Japan, the Phillipines, Saudi Arabia, Kenya, Sudan and of course Australia. They embraced the concept of sharing and supporting each other's hidden feelings so wholeheartedly, I almost couldn't believe it. I can't wait to share this project with everyone! And don't forget, if you want your students to get involved just send me a message to Sally Hardy or contact Susannah Sweeney at the DreamBIG Festival
15.01.2022 This is just some of the beautiful imagery created by artist Jacob Logos, to accompany the text in 'An Anthology of Un-kept Secrets' - a collection of children's feelings curated into a book and an exhibition for the DreamBig Children's Festival. You can come and see the finished product for free - and add your own secret feelings, if you wish - at the Adelaide Festival Centre, from May 22-June 1. All the details here: https://www.dreambigfestival.com.au//an-anthology-of-un-k/
12.01.2022 Detail from the cover of 'An Anthology of Un-kept Secrets' - a book, exhibition and doco opening on Wednesday in the DreamBig Children's Festival at the Adelaid...e Festival Centre. Artwork by the brilliant Jacob Logos, doco by the equally brilliant Albert Jamae, and secret feelings by the children and teens of South Australia... Can't wait to share it with the world! See more
11.01.2022 In this satchel is precious cargo... Hundreds of unnamed feelings - from dark sorrows that would break your heart, to hopes and dreams that will lift your spirits - all shared by children and teens in South Australia, for 'An Anthology of Un-kept Secrets'. Now Sally Hardy must set about the task of curating these feelings, compiling them into an exhibition and a book with artist Jacob Logos, for the 2019 DreamBig Children's Festival. We hope it will be an inspiration to children, parents, teachers...and to anyone with feelings.
