17.01.2022 The traditional approach for jiu jitsu is getting really old. Imagine if McDonald’s told their customers they were forbidden go eat somewhere else. Imagine if ...one gas station went on Reddit just to complain and leave negative feedback about another gas station that was close in proximity. Imagine Starbucks selling customers their coffee but telling their customers not to drink it yet and they have to wait a year before actually using the product they pay for. Imagine a bunch of Trader Joe’s customers being lead and supported by the owners to demoralize anyone who shopped somewhere else. As a business owner who also dabbles in jiu jitsu, my opinion when it comes to having a financially successful business is to leave your door open, offer a product that’s so unique in some way, and focus on retaining that quality that your customers know of everything that exists yet still choose you for your service. The success of one business truly doesn’t require the failure of someone else’s. With that being said, I do my best to help the community grow in a productive way and that’s all I can do but I know that starts inside my own home. Focusing on making sure my students are happy, not forced, given the highest of quality jiu jitsu I can provide, furthering my education so I can continue to give evolved education, creating and maintaining an environment that allows people of all sizes and goals to thrive, etc.

09.01.2022 Although this isnt an academy in the sense I feel like this week ill give a shoutout to our little area of mats here in Perth, Western Australia! !... This isnt a gym, it isnt a club, it isnt an academy. When people ask me what it is I answer a few different ways, its a collabrative space, its a community space, its a safe space! From running workshops, hosting seminars, training with veterans and much more this place is a place for everyone, regardless of affiliation, rank, gender, sexual preference. It is a place where everyone can feel welcome! Everything we do in here raises money for various different charities and helps us build a stronger community! If you are in Perth come down for a workshop, if you are ever passing through Perth and are looking to train get in touch! We would love to share the mats with you.
