25.01.2022 Reflecting on todays #blacklivesmatter rally in Adelaide. I believe it is our fear of the unknown that gets in the way of our understanding. I cannot even being to understand how our indigenous community is feeling at this time. I have stood with you today so that I might begin to understand what is needed to create a pathway forward so that all may thrive in this amazing country that you have inhabited for thousands of years. I WANT TO UNDERSTAND. What dont I know that I d...ont know that is contributing to the problem? Please continue to show me what I can do to make a positive difference? I AM LISTENING. I want to contribute to the solution, to healing, to harmony, to creating a country/world, where we can all flourish, with respect, dignity, and compassion. I embrace our diversity. I believe that part of the solution/healing is owning the story, the uncomfortable truth of how we came to be where we are today. Can we please honour the uncomfortable truth of our history in this country, so that we might celebrate our rich diversity and the incredible land we reside on? Can we please do this so that we can more deeply understand what connection to country feels like, and then we will protect and honour this sunburnt country of droughts and flooding rains. Gratitude to you for your patience. No more separation. WE ARE ALL ONE. I STAND WITH YOU. @ Tarndanyangga See more

24.01.2022 Reclaim, Refresh and Refocus! We spent a morning forest bathing yesterday in Kuitpo as a part of a leadership program, reflecting on how far wed come, acknowledging our courage and exploring where to next...deep listening as we engaged in lively conversation, walked mindfully, and sat in contemplation...we realised how incredibly restorative even the shortest time spent in nature can be for our complete wellbeing...and consequently our productivity when we return to our tasks... oh...and we did a wonderful reframing and planning session at Fox Gordon Winery too! Great Day! #newdayleadership #natureasmedicine #freespiritwellbeing #newday #foxgordonwines @ Kuitpo Forest

17.01.2022 A Poem penned on the Kokoda Track in 2008 re-written for Anzac Day 2020 BEYOND THE MEMORY OF WARS ENDLESS REACH... Beyond the memory of wars endless reach, in our hearts and our minds, we came to find peace. Walking slow in the jungle, watching our feet, searching horizons from a mountain peak. In the rain, the thunder and each breath we take, in the hearts of the people who inhabit this place. We find joy and yet pain in PNGs heart, we feel the connection though our lands are apart. At the shore of the ocean, in the first light of dawn, there are tears in the silence while in stillness we mourn. Lest we forget those who stood by their mates, all those lives lost we cannot replace. We remember too, their familys grief, the Veterans whose dear ones feel no relief. We honour the fallen, their mates and their loved ones, when we do our best to bring peace to our young ones. Beyond the memory of wars endless reach, It now matters most what the fallen would teach: Be grateful for life, look after your mates, peace is worth more than living with hate. Savour a sunset, for an hour or minute, take time for the moments that bring peace to your spirit. Written by WB Enright - In memory of my father - Sgt John Enright and in honour of all the veterans and families that remain impacted by war. #anzacpoems #Legacy #RSL #Kokodapoetry
16.01.2022 Be Ready for the Boom - An Article by Wayne Enright The boom is coming, are you prepared? Have you taken SDOC, made repairs, strengthened your rigging and re-shaped your sails for peak performance? If you are the skipper, have you improved your ability to lead your crew in uncharted waters? ... When we are sailing along care-free, running with the wind and there is a sudden wind shift or a rogue wave, we need to be paying attention! There can be life-threatening consequences when we are complacent or not being mindful as we sail on into the future. (The image in this post is one Ive kept to myself until now - It bears witness to a painful lesson learnt the hard way) Sailors need to be ready for unexpected storms no matter how good the current forecast might be. Skippers need to know how to reef their sails when the winds become too strong. They need to be aware of safe harbours they can retreat to during a storm... During their time of retreat, wise boat crews will rest, make repairs and replenish supplies for continuing their journey when the time is right. How prepared is your skipper and crew for the coming boom? 06.01.2022 Some of you may know Effiee from our time together on the Inca Trail Peru! He is an incredible guide - the best on the Inca Trail - and man of great integrity... We are pleased to support all of our guides and their communities during this challenging time when their major income source is so massively affected, and we acknowledge their efforts to support themselves with new projects which are also great for the environment! Our love and respect accompanies the sharing of thi...s message from Effiee, and if you feel moved to make a contribution please follow the links below: Dear Free Spirit Family, I hope your family are very well together, and this health crisis has not affected you and you are in good health. It has been a long time since your visit to Peru and your beautiful experience knowing and exploring my lovely country. Thank you for having given me the privilege of being your guide, I hope someday to be with you again. Today the circumstances are different in Peru and all over the world, due to the covi-19 more than half of the population of Cusco lost our jobs because we all worked in the tourist activity that is now at zero, we were the first to feel the effect of the pandemic and now we will be the last to reactivate again. Today I have to reinvent myself but I want to do it in the best way helping people, the planet and my family, for which I ask from the bottom of my heart for your support. I will build a compost and humus plant, I will collect organic garbage from houses and local markets, this will serve to feed the worms and I will obtain fertile and nutrient-rich soil and enrich the soil of my region, turning them into organic, because they are almost dead therefore use of chemicals. I will also obtain other organic derivatives, we will teach people to grow and produce organic, we will train communities and teach our system to students of colleges and universities, we will give work and we will raise awareness among local people so as not to throw more garbage into the river or landfills of garbage. To make this project possible, my family and I ask you with love and with all our heart for your support. To see more details of the project and to be able to make your donation, please visit this link. https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-guide-efrain-valles-build-a Please can you share my page with anyone you think might be able to help me, The more shared my page is, the more people will see it and the better the chance I can reach my goal and get my project going. I really look forward to the day when you can visit me here in Cusco again and I can show you how your money helped set me up with a new business and helped feed my family during these crazy days. Thank you from my whole heart for your donation. Lots of Inca hugs and pisco sours. Efrain Valles and family
