25.01.2022 Reminder (because I totally forgot myself) - no training tonight. Andrew

23.01.2022 We are going to run free Self Defense sessions for anyone interested. No cost. No obligation. Last Tuesday of every month. First session Tuesday 25th Feb.... Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Message us for more information.

22.01.2022 Second Saturday session at Robelle done and dusted. We strap the bags to the trees so that we dont need bag holders (who get rest). We originally came up with this when Lachlan and I were training for our Black Belts. It just happens that it also complies with the current Social Distancing requirements also. We do around 1/2 hour of bagwork drills followed by basics and finishing off with patterns.... 8am start every Saturday and finish up around 9:30am. All students are encouraged to attend to get back into the routine until the YMCA allows us to return. Message this page if you have any questions. Taekwon.

22.01.2022 First Saturday training. Welcome back to everyone who attended.

22.01.2022 YMCA has told us we can start training again next week. I will provide more details tomorrow after our Saturday training at Robelle tomorrow morning. It will be easier to talk to all students and their parents tomorrow at Robelle because there will be limits on parents who can stay during training and other rules to be followed. Too complicated for a facebook post.... I would ask that all members and at least one parent for juniors try to get to Robelle tomorrow morning so we can appraise everyone on the Covid safe training rules. Taekwon. Andrew

21.01.2022 Some excellent board breaks tonight. Next Black Belt grading back on track for end of May.

21.01.2022 Hi everyone. The club is now closed until the 9th of October for School Holidays. Please keep training your patterns and your fitness. Have a good break.

20.01.2022 This Thursday 27th will be the last class until school holidays conclude. First day back Tuesday 16th July. Keep up your fitness and your patterns.... Looking at doing a stall at Orion Shopping Centre on Saturday 13th July. If anyone wants to volunteer some time to attend please contact one of the Black Belts.

19.01.2022 Training starts up again tonight! Next Grading is early August so we hope you kept up your training during the break.

19.01.2022 Great article. It would be good to see this roll out in all states.

18.01.2022 No training tomorrow (Thursday 7th November) because the school needs the hall. Training Tuesday next week

18.01.2022 Colour Belt grading moved from the 27th April to 11th May. Event updated.

18.01.2022 After consultation with the instructors we have decided to suspend all training until the other side of the scheduled School Holidays. This decision has been made to prevent any un-necessary exposure to Covid-19. I the interim we will be training at Robelle Domain at 6:30am Saturdays and all are welcome at no cost.... This is an open air location and we can control distance between students. This is not mandatory for anyone below Red Belt but all are welcome. No uniform required. Shorts, t-shirt, joggers, towell and water bottle required. If you have any questions about this decision please contact Mr Pearce or one of the Black Belts. Tae Kwon. Andrew

14.01.2022 No training next Tuesday 15th because the school needs to use the Auditorium. Training back Thursday 17th

11.01.2022 Students will be graded in Class this month. Weekend Grading cancelled.

11.01.2022 No training 7th and 21st of November because the school needs the hall. Please make an effort to train on the dates that we are able to train. Also Kims black belt grading will be held on the 16th of November. We request all students above yellow belt to please make an effort to attend in support.

11.01.2022 No training tomorrow. The school needs the hall.

10.01.2022 We are at Orion shopping Centre today to promote the club. Come and say hi.

10.01.2022 Black Belt Grading tomorrow. Such an honor to observe a member of the club join as a white belt and persevere to grading for a Black Belt. We have another early next year but tomorrow is all about one student. Going to be a good day.... Andrew

07.01.2022 Hi everyone. Due to the COVID changes please be aware of the following: Training will still be resuming Tuesday 19th January however all students, parents and Instructors will be required to wear a Mask in line with the current directive. It is an indoor area and we will need to adhere to social distancing until the 21st meaning that the classes will need to focus on patterns and technique until it is confirmed that masks will not be required. We will be lead by QLD Healt...h in this regard. Can all students and parents/guardians please provide updated email and mobile contact details to Mr Pearce at training or message this page so that we can update our records to more efficiently communicate on matters such as this by email or SMS. Thank you and hopefully this situation is short lived. Tae Kwon

07.01.2022 We were lucky enough to have Craig Turnbull at training on Thursday with his camera. Welcome back everyone.

06.01.2022 Hi all. Exiting news is that we are changing venue in 2020 to the YMCA at Springfield Lakes commencing 28 January. This location has been selected for a number of reasons including ease of access and availability. We have created events for all of the 2020 colour belt gradings on Facebook and from this point on all students are required to attend all gradings irrespective of their personal grading status.... We are looking to bring back the community feel to the club in 2020 and so we will be looking to do a few social events next year. Taekwon. Andrew

03.01.2022 Second Saturday session at Robelle done and dusted. We strap the bags to the trees so that we don’t need bag holders (who get rest). 03.01.2022 Happy New Year to everyone!! Training at YMCA Springfield Lakes commences Tuesday 19th January. We will start the community based free self defence courses early February so if you have attended these before or want to start we will advise dates toward the end of January. COVID plays a big part of this curriculum because we need to make contact as a class to make this practical and useful. ... For all returning students we will have colour belt grading dates for the year by the end of February but expect the first to be early March or late February. No black belt gradings scheduled this year however we will likely have the free weekend training at Robelle because there will likely be more than one Black belt or above grading in 2022 so those people need to start preparations this year. Tae kwon.

02.01.2022 Quick reminder that our first free self defense class will be this coming Tuesday 25th Feb at the YMCA at Springfield Lakes. 6pm till 7pm. Wear comfortable clothes. If you are interested in coming please let us know so we have an idea of numbers.... Thanks

02.01.2022 Just a reminder that we are back training on Tuesday 23rd and will also train Thursday 25th (ANZAC day) The week following is the last week before the grading so get your practice in. Weekend sessions start the weekend of the 18th & 19th of April until the Black Belt grading at the end of the year.... These sessions are free but are very physical. Talk to one of the Black Belts for details.

02.01.2022 Grading on Saturday is at 10am. Those with grading forms should arrive at 9:30am to prepare. You need: Water, towell, a decent breakfast and something to snack on (nuts, fruit, something with sugar) and Water.... All students Green Belt and above are expected to attend to help. Lunch will be at the Spring Lake Hotel after the grading and everyone is welcome along with family and friends.
