22.01.2022 DONATED ITEMS WANTED Our quiz night is coming up fast on Sat 15th May (one month away!). We are in need of NEW (or like new) items we can use in our raffle and silent auction to raise as much as possible for our bears! 19.01.2022 Free the Bears has signed up to Containers for Change WA! That means you can drop off your used containers (aluminium, glass, plastic, paper & steel) at a drop off point near you and use the Free the Bears scheme ID number for the funds to be donated to us (10c per container). 18.01.2022 Our recent Wine Tasting Evening fundraiser was a fantastic night out and almost $3000 was raised for the bears! Thank you to everyone who supported this event. 17.01.2022 Free the Bears are at the 3 in One Market this weekend at Claremont Showgrounds in Perth with some of our handmade items donated by our wonderful supporters, plus our unique handmade SNARE WEAR 4 BEARS bracelets & keyrings made from real wire snares removed from the forests (make a statement and support our efforts to stop the wildlife trade!). We also have a RAFFLE! Come down to the 3 in One Market and say hi to the lovely volunteers on our stall and check out the unique handmade bears, crafts, paintings and more on offer.

17.01.2022 Feeling a little caged this past year? Join dozens of Perth supporters for the worldwide Night in a Cage coming up in May! Last year 50 bear lovers around the world (nearly half in WA) spent a night in a cage that they made themselves out of cardboard, old pallets, blankets, dog crate etc to raise donations to help rescue more bears from bile farms. 15.01.2022 We have a Perth team of almost 20 (including our founder Mary Hutton) taking part in our WALK to FREE THE BEARS tomorrow around Lake Monger. We are walking (some of us are running!) up to 10km (10,000 metres) which is one metre for every one of the 10,000 bears still on bile farms in Asia. 10.01.2022 Big thanks to our wonderful volunteers who helped us last Friday at the Free the Bears street appeal in Perth! It was a very successful day with just under $3000 raised. Su & Victoria did a brilliant job attracting the kids and big kids in the Sunny bear costumes! Well done team Perth.

06.01.2022 Free the Bears stalls are back in action around Perth! First one was last week at Karrinyup Shopping Centre where passers-by were very supportive. The stall got lots of donations and sold plenty of Gifts for Bears and merchandise - $816 was raised. Well done and thanks to our volunteers! More volunteers are always needed to help us raise funds and spread the word about our work - PM us if you'd like to join our fantastic team of friendly volunteers!
