16.01.2022 Thank you to all that came to the busy bee today. We were able to get so many jobs done thanks to all the enthusiastic helpers who joined us. We were able to rake the sandpit, weed all the garden beds, mulch the nature play area, build a new climbing frame, trim trees, fill a skip bin, build a new decking/ mud kitchen in the Early Learning Centre just to name a few jobs... ... Busy bee is a great way to strengthen community between staff, students, parents and New Life Church. Thanks again everyone. Thanks to The Tree Firm for awesome mulch and Coates Hire for the kanga that made distributing the mulch much easier!

15.01.2022 Today the Kindy Children went on their first excursion! All the children were very excited about going on the bus to the Pear Tree Cafe. Once there Mr Canty showed the children how wood fire pizza is made, then they enjoyed a delicious pizza feast. Thank you to all the staff at the Pear Tree Cafe, we had a lovely time and can’t wait for our next visit! @kerrystpeartree

15.01.2022 The Kindy and Pre-Primary children attended the Constable Care Puppet Show where they learnt about the difference between fun scary and unsafe scary and what to do if they feel unsafe. It was a great show and the children had lots of laughs and loved meeting Constable Care and his friends.

14.01.2022 Today we gathered together and observed a minutes silence. We listened to the Last Post and prayed. Remembering those who fought for our Country. Here is a beautiful poppy wreath made by the Pre-Primary Students.

14.01.2022 Outdoor Classroom Day is celebrated by schools all across Australia with over a million children taking part this year. The day was a huge hit with all our primary school students. It was wonderful to walk around the school and hear the chatter of all the children as they engaged in learning experiences outdoors. Such a great day!

13.01.2022 The Year 6 students just returned from an amazing few days away at Camp Leschenaultia! The camp was full of fun team-building activities, archery, canoeing, stories around the campfire and moonlit outdoor games. During the camp the students also learnt skills they can use to set themselves up to transition well into secondary school next year. Everyone had an incredible time with all of the sugar and sleeplessness that comes with camps. A big thank you to Mr Hindle for catering the entire camp and Mrs Sheehy for volunteering her time assist us on camp.

08.01.2022 Recently the Year 2 Class enjoyed a day at one of the first homesteads built on the Swan River by European settlers, Peninsula Farm. The students were given old artefacts such as an old washing board or a bow tie press and asked what they thought it might have been used for. Once they described their thoughts they were given a photo of a modern day appliance and asked which artefact they thought it matched. It was such an engaging activity and comical to see the faces of the students who had been holding the chamber pot thinking it was a mixing bowl!!

07.01.2022 Last week the Year 3 class had the opportunity to go to Kings Park Education Centre and learn about Living and Non-Living things. Students explored the different stages of plants, wandered around Kings Park in search of different living and non-living things and even had a chance to plant a special seed of their own! Afterwards, we put our mapping skills to the test in a fun orienteering activity that required students to read a map, use a compass and find different checkpoints around the park. It was a very fun and enjoyable day out!

06.01.2022 Pre-kindy had a visit from Farmer Mick from Farmyard on Wheels. They learnt about the farm animals and were able to cuddles the animals.
