22.01.2022 Message from Admin: Hi all, On a serious note, despite the funny photo... It has been brought to our attention that some dog owners have taken the Friday Sundowner a step too far!!! It’s always lovely to meet at the dog park for a little Friday get together and this community engagement is encouraged not only by us but also the Rugby Club who’s grounds we share. We all know the rules and regulations regarding the consumption of alcohol in a public place and are lucky enou...gh to fly under the radar as long as we all do the right thing!!! We endeavour to post to our page notification of when games are being played and can only do this when the information is available to us. On occasion this does not happen and in these instances we expect dog walkers to use their discretion and be respectful of the Rugby Club should you all be there using the field at the same time. This evening as reported to us, there was a congregation of dogs and owners who had set themselves up under the Club Rooms during the Rugby Club’s set up for tonights Ladies night game. These owners became combative when asked to place their dogs on lead and put away their alcohol. This behaviour is not condoned by the Fremantle Dog Club as we aim to support the Fremantle Roosters Rugby League Club as they support us. The Rugby Club is a licensed premises and people not adhering to the Club’s liquor licence policy when the Club is active and open for business could jeopardise the Rugby Club’s ability to maintain that liquor licence. We are happy to report that the dog owners in question are not affiliated with our Dog Club in anyway and we would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support in making our community, the Fremantle Dog Club a fun, harmonious and respectful club to be apart of. Take care and hope to catch you all out and about soon! *Note: Please don’t hesitate to message us directly should you have any queries or concerns in regard to any dog related maters.
