25.01.2022 Pete Dawson from RECOGNISE THIS talking to a packed out Freo branch about the long road to constitutional recognition for Indigenous Australians.

25.01.2022 Congratulations to our new State Secretary, Freos own Patrick Gorman.

25.01.2022 Weve been talking to residents today in Hammy Hill and Spearwood about the ill-conceived Perth Freight Link, community safety, local schools and lots more.

22.01.2022 Full house tonight at the East Fremantle Tennis Club to talk about the future of the Leeuwin Barracks site with Mark McGowan MP, Simone McGurk MLA and Josh Wilson MP.

22.01.2022 Were pretty stoked the Libs plans to flog off our Port appear to be dead in the water. But make no mistake, they still want to do it. If they take it to an election, the choice will be clear: Only a Mark McGowan MP Labor government will keep the Port in public hands.

22.01.2022 Congratulations to Simone McGurk MLA and Peter Tinley AM. Great to have two excellent MPs from the heartland entering shadow cabinet.

22.01.2022 WA Labor MPs Simone McGurk MLA, Peter Tinley AM and Alannah MacTiernan are standing with those residents of Palmyra who are at risk of losing their homes to the disastrous Perth Freight Link project. The packed Fremantle Town Hall at the Rethink The Link community forum last night makes it clear that the State and Federal Liberal Governments will have a fight on their hands.

21.01.2022 Metronet is back! #getonboard

21.01.2022 Urgh. Colin Barnett clearly afraid of strong, Labor women. He should really turn his attention to all his thoroughly mediocre men. A part-time Deputy Premier and a Transport Minister wading through incompetence and conflicts of interest, just to name a couple.

20.01.2022 Mark McGowan MP will be talking all things #Metronet this afternoon. Head to his page to ask a question. #getonboard

19.01.2022 A message from Frank Mofflin, Willagee Branch President, about why hes taking action with Labor.

19.01.2022 The Willagee Branch hard at work. We fear no redistribution. Looking forward to getting Peter Tinley AM re-elected.

17.01.2022 Christmas drinks with Melissa Parke MP, Simone McGurk MLA and a fantastic bunch of true believers.

17.01.2022 We crossed the rickety Freo traffic bridge (thanks, Libs) and headed up to Parliament for our branch meeting. Thanks to Mark McGowan MP for being our special guest tonight.

17.01.2022 Our members and local union members out in freo today to protect penalty rates and #BuildaBetterFuture.

16.01.2022 Great discussions tonight. Thanks to Simone McGurk MLA for speaking to us about why Labor is standing firm against the Perth Freight Link, Paul Papalia Member for Warnbro for discussing indigenous incarceration and justice reinvestment, and Kate Doust for highlighting FIFO workers health and wellbeing, and the ripping off of subcontractors on government projects.

15.01.2022 A tunnel is one way to hide a piece of useless infrastructure.

15.01.2022 Fremantle Labor and friends from other branches hit the streets of Freo to protest against Roe 8 and the Perth Freight Link as part of the Rethink The Link alliance.

14.01.2022 Heres a "thing" from the Australian Citizenship test..

14.01.2022 Braving the drizzle at Growers Green Farmers Market with Simone McGurk MLA.

14.01.2022 Our members will be out with Labor for Refugees WA this Sunday for the Freo Refugee Welcome Fiesta. Come find our stall on the Esplanade. There will be a welcome to country and speeches at noon, followed by the walk at 12:30. Big thanks to our own Melissa Parke MP, Simone McGurk MLA, Peter Tinley AM, Kate Doust MLC, Sue Ellery MLC and Senator Sue Lines for supporting the fiesta! A tip of the hat to RRAN Fremantle for their organising prowess.

10.01.2022 Enjoying a couple of post-election beers with Simone McGurk MLA, Josh Wilson MP - Federal member for Fremantle and this wonderful, Fremantle Labor family.

10.01.2022 Friends, weve campaigned against the Perth Freight Link as part of the Rethink The Link alliance, weve walked the route of the proposed Roe 8 extension, now lets march against this dud project as one in the Fremantle Festival Parade this Sunday, 1 November. Well meet at 3.30pm for a 4pm start in the carpark at the corner of Essex Street and Marine Tce (opposite the Esplanade Hotel). MAKE SURE YOU WEAR RED! Email [email protected] for more info or call/text 0431 470 853. Lets say loudly and clearly that WA Labor is opposed to the Perth Freight Link and we will fight to stop it. Please share.

09.01.2022 Looking good in lycra! About 200 locals gathered on the corner of Winterfold and Stock Roads in the chilly morning to tell the Barnett Liberal Government that they dont want the expensive, unnecessary Perth Freight Link which will put more trucks on the road and divide the community in two.

09.01.2022 Couldnt help ourselves, Happy May Day! #unionproud

09.01.2022 Our lot hitting the phones today for Matt Keogh. #YesWeCanning.

09.01.2022 Great news for Freo.

08.01.2022 Doesnt get more Freo than this. #YesWeCanning

08.01.2022 Talking to concerned residents about the disastrous Perth Freight Link - a poorly planned, $1.6 billion dollar truck highway through our community to a soon-to-be-privatised port thats nearing capacity. We want to double the amount of freight on rail, and plan for the second port that our city will soon need instead.

06.01.2022 Wed like to wish everyone a happy, safe and restful festive season. We spare a thought for those who find this a particularly tough time of year, and send our thanks to those who are working over the holidays. Well be back in 2016 to continue fighting for a stronger, smarter and fairer society.

06.01.2022 Lots of our members out with Simone McGurk MLA and Labor for Refugees WA in Freo today. Great to be part of such a welcoming community. Thanks to Simone, Melissa Parke MP, Senator Sue Lines, Kate Kate Doust MLC and Sue Ellery MLC for supporting the event.

05.01.2022 Here at Freo Labor, were digging the Liberals pitch for the State Election.

05.01.2022 WA Labor does a great job putting women into parliament. Were at 45% while our opponents struggle to make 1 in 4. But our party membership is still overwhelmingly male. A womans place is in the ALP. We all need to make it a priority to bring #onemorewoman into the tent.

05.01.2022 Love is Love #LoveinPerth

04.01.2022 Enjoying a Christmas drink with our big, rowdy, passionate and hard-working Fremantle Labor family. Were ready to get out there and win the better future our state deserves. You can sign up to join us at bicton.walabor.org.au/volunteer. #WeAreWALabor

02.01.2022 As part of campaigning against the disastrous Perth Freight Link project, members of the Fremantle and Willagee branches as well as local Labor MPs Melissa Parke MP, Simone McGurk MLA and Peter Tinley AM walked the proposed Roe 8 section of the project, to take in first-hand the precious environment under threat. Many thanks to Kate from Rethink The Link for the tour.
