Lisanne brings a Law background to her successful mediation practice, Life Mediation, specialising in family, workplace and commercial mediation. She has performed Victim Offender mediation for the Department of Corrective Services and provided Family Dispute Resolution for several non-for profits before starting her mediation practice Life Mediation. Lisanne is also the lecturer and unit coordinator for the Mediation unit and Dispute Resolution unit at Murdoch University Law School in Perth. Obligations to inform participants in FDR What? How? When? Regulation 28 of the Family Law FDRP Regulations requires us to inform participants about legal advice, confidentiality, admissibility of FDR evidence in Court, qualifications, fees, when FDR is mandated, certificates, the effect of refusal of FDR and complaints. The WA FDRP Special Interest Group, which focuses in particular on the interests of FDRPs in private practice, warmly invites you to this event where all will have an opportunity to share their insights and listen to the views of others on the questions: How do we meet these requirements? What are the difficulties in doing so? How can we be sure the participants understand? How could we improve the approach we take to this task?
