Another massive THANK YOU needs to go out to each and every parent and child in our school community (and beyond) who very generously supported this initiative and Rounded Up for us. Youre the best!

24.01.2022 Nothing for over a month and then two posts in one day... During all this craziness, we've been thinking about our school and the wonderful teachers and staff who make it. I know I personally can't imagine what the last few weeks has been like for them (and all of our other essential service providers). So, how can we thank them and let them know that we appreciate all they are doing and the personal sacrifices they are making / risks they are taking?... Next Friday 8 May, when you go to school to pick up your child please bring a sign or banner to school bearing a message of support for our teachers and staff. At 2:45pm, we plan to line the fence along Brennan Street and both the FPS and ECC sides of Attfield Street between Alma and Stevens Streets with "us" bearing our messages of support. As per the school's COVID-19 Drop-off and Pick-up policy please do not enter the school grounds and make sure you practise social distancing by keeping 1.5 metres or two arms lengths from others. There will be place marks on the ground to remind you of this on the day.

23.01.2022 The FPS faction carnival was held at Stevens Reserve today - and what a day it was! Fantastic venue, perfect weather, lots of colour and even more fun. HUGE thank you to everyone who baked, donated and purchased goodies for / at our P&C Cake Stall. Together we raised $700 for our school!!!

23.01.2022 Apologies for the delay in posting this but like all of you, weve been a bit distracted by COVID-19 (home schooling, working from home, being at home...you get it). We hope you all enjoyed our FREAKY FRIDAY themed National Ride2School on Friday 13 March. The kids went all out decorating their bikes, with Charlie (Year 1) and Lola (Pre-Primary) taking out the best dressed boy and girl prizes.... As a community we raised $165 for World Bicycle Relief. And while this wasnt quite enough to purchase a Buffalo Bicycle for a student in need, your P&C Committee personally chipped in the extra $30 required to do so. Big THANK YOU to Mercer Cycles, Coles Fremantle, the City of Fremantle Community Safety Team and the Fremantle District - WA Police Force Bike Unit for servicing, donating, attending and speaking. Now for the bit that all the kids have been waiting for...the faction with the most participants, that earns an additional 50 bonus points... In third place...Batavia with 37 points. In second place...Leeuwin with 38 points. And in first place...Challenger with 39 points (plus 50 bonus points!!). Well done to everyone who participated!

22.01.2022 This is FPSs Graduating Class of 2019. This morning I attended their Graduation Assembly. It was beautiful, thoughtful and emotional. The perfect way to say good-bye. All of these kids and their families should feel very proud. Remember this moment, and use that pride to stride with confidence, kindness and strength onto the next path of your journey. ...

We encourage all students and their families to leave the car at home and give riding, walking, scooting or skating to school a go. This years theme is FREAKY FRIDAY, so feel free to decorate your bike, scooter, blades or self in a Freaky Friday theme. Cmon Freo!! Lets see how many Buffalos we can get for students in need!

21.01.2022 Today something beautiful happened at our little school. Our community lined the fences along Brennan Street and Attfield Streets bearing messages of support for our teachers and staff - to show them that we appreciate all they are doing and the personal sacrifices they are making / risks they are taking for us and our children. Dont know about you but we thought it was pretty damn special.... So, thank you to everyone who got involved and shared their love and support.

21.01.2022 Book Week is THIS THURSDAY (5 November)!!! This year's theme is "Curious Creatures, Wild Minds". As usual, the theme leaves plenty of room for creativity so children have the opportunity to dress up as whichever character they think fits the brief. To spark a little inspiration, ask your kids which book characters have interesting creatures they love, or which characters they think come up with the wildest ideas!... There'll be prizes for those creatures who dare to be wild. Speaking of creatures, pretty sure everyone knows "Stripey the Emu" and his creator, author and artist Wendy Binks. Wendy is a Freo local who's quirky and distinctive range of Australian animal designs and books is popular worldwide. With the help of Jennifer Jackson at Paper Bird Children's Books and Arts your P&C is funding an incursion by Wendy next Thursday. There will be three sessions tailoring to different age groups and it's sure to be lots of fun and ignite everyone's curiosity. We will also be organising a Book Stall, so if you have any good condition books at home that you've finished reading, please bring them to school next week and put them in the Book Stall box that we'll place at the Front Office. We'll collect the books every day and then set up a stall on Thursday where you can purchase something to read for just $2 per book. All funds raised from the Book Stall will go to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.

02.01.2022 Huge THANK YOU to all of the wonderful members of our school community who braved the elements and attended our Movie Night! It was a great little night that proved that we are at our best when we come together as a community. Thanks also to Connie Hancock of Caporn Young Estate Agents for sponsoring the night; SeaLink Rottnest Island, Big Rigz Burger Co., the WA Maritime Museum and 1991 Skateshop for the raffle prizes; Happy Lunchbox for feeding us; your P&C for all the y...ummy treats; Mr T for attending and rolling his sleeves up to help serve;everyone who helped with the clean up; and, of course, Lou Wales. As a result of our combined efforts we raised $1400 for our school and our kids. Well done Freo Primary!!!

02.01.2022 Further to Emmas earlier post, your P&C would also like to take the opportunity to encourage you to pay the voluntary contributions listed on the 2020 Requirements handout. As Emma said, the money generated pays for vital items that the school could not otherwise afford. For example, your P&C paid $15,000 to install our new toilet doors earlier in the year. I know most of you (myself included previously) probably assume that schools receive most of the funding they need fro...m the Government but I can assure you this is really not the case. Please take the time to look at the 2018 revenue v expenditure chart below to see how much money our school receives, where it comes from and how it is spent. It quickly becomes abundantly clear how vital our all of our voluntary contributions are. So, if you can afford to pay all of the voluntary payments, please do so. Thank you.
