25.01.2022 Lemon meringue... soap!!!

21.01.2022 Today was a day for self-care. I decided to complete a project to clear my space. Those chairs were donated to me. They have been sitting for four years in the garage. The fabric chosen was a beautiful second-hand cushion cover made from thick cotton. After unstitching all the sides and removing the zip, I sewed bands of calico so I could pull and stretch the fabric on the base of the seat as there was barely enough fabric to start with. A few staples later and I have two nicely revamped chairs

03.01.2022 Made my first hot process soap, which happens to be my first shaving soap too!!! Postponed this moment for over 12 months as I felt intimidated by the task but it happens to be pretty straight forward. I am actually super proud of myself It is made with coconut cream, kokum butter, coconut oil, shea butter and castor oil. A tiny bit of glycerine was added at the end of the cooking and a spoonful of Greek yoghurt. It is fragranced with cedarwood, clove and vetiver essential oils. I think I am hooked now

03.01.2022 Been playing with various mask patterns. This one is so far the most fitting with matching spaghetti yarn for maximum comfort around the ears.
