22.01.2022 As i was about to prepare dinner, I got the very sad news of a very good friend in the Audio Industry passing away on Saturday... We have known each other and done business together for 40 years... So as he was a great connaisseur of good good and wine, rather than slipping into sadness, I decided to celebrate his life with a recipe he would have loved! I had this at La Tassée in Lyon more or less at the time we first met... Unfortunately it is no longer on their menu...... I have attempted this dish many a time over the years but never quite mastered it... I think this is my best attempt so far... 16.01.2022 Lovely lunch at a very dear long time friend’s We had spicy hummus and olives to start, then ravioli bolognaise from @pastaemilia on a bed of baby spinach leaves. Dessert was caramelised oranges in rum, one of my mum’s favourite desserts, although not caramelised I brought a nice Pinot Noir from Côtes de Nuit from @marchandandburch via @belandbrio

03.01.2022 Well, by chance I found some Sauvignon Blanc from Vendée chez @danmurphys for less than 15$ So then grilled salmon and gratin de courgettes was a natural match! Unfortunately, the raspberries from @harrisfarmmarkets bought on Saturday were already rotten but a few I could rescue with some vanilla icecream from @maggie_beer It happens far too often and you can’t really spot them at time of purchase... I am a loyal customer, but this needs to be addressed
