20.01.2022 This is French’s Forest, a native habitat where we can witness a multitude of diverse species. Here we see the infamous ‘blue-backed scum-bucket’ as he pilfers the spoils meant for the more pleasant and hard working ‘paying customer’. If anyone has been invited to a bbq by this Neanderthal please feel free to take what you want from his home as he sees fit to take from ours!

16.01.2022 "2 LOST YELLOW COCKATIELS Our two lovely cockatiels escaped on Sunday morning 10 January in the Petrie area. Kuka (on the right) is hand-raised and a very strong flier so he could be anywhere. Pinky (on the left) is a very weak flier, and easily frightened. Their whistles will be higher pitched and melodic. We have heard Kuka shriek every few days so we have some hope that maybe he is still in Petrie? Please contact Ray on 0401 432 739. They mean a lot to us."

This is a family owned, locally owned business under pressure and were calling for community support. We empathise with those in need but our staff, their families, and the Petrie community comes first! Help us to put an end to this relentless stealing! If you recognise these people please call us and ask for The manager. If you see any suspicious activity please alert the staff immediately. 12.01.2022 Ohhh kindness alert !! Thank you so much to the young hard worker from Petrie IGA. All the staff there are always lovely never had nothing but friendliness an...d help from them all. But today- I’m running late already, forgot my shopping list, trying to remember everything, kids been silly trying to touch all the toys and lollies so I was a little pre occupied getting them settled and paying etc. anyway we walked out of the iga and heading around and all the way down into the newsagent. I’m in there looking for what I need and I hear a familiar voice (the young lady from the iga) Excuse me your forgot this Obviously I thanked her and she made it like it was no big deal. sure enough I had left an item of my groceries (cold meat to) on the counter. She must not have been able to follow me straight away because she had others in line, I don’t even know how she knew where we went or how she found us but there she was! but to you young lady- THANK YOU. I see you working hard a lot when we come in and you always greet people with a smile. But today for me you really took that extra mile to make my day!! What you don’t know is we walked to the shops as I can’t drive atm. What you don’t know is we where running late to head out after a stressful morning. What you don’t know is that I would not have been able to just pop back and grab it. What you don’t know is that I may not have been able to afford to even replace it again. What you don’t know is that is the only type of ham my son would eat. What you don’t know is my son has a (dis)ability that means not having this ham would have been extremely difficult difficult for him. Mainly- what you don’t know is that you made our entire day better just by doing that and going out of our way for us. The fact you did this, when you didn’t have to and the fact you did it with out even knowing how much you where actually helping is so selfless. I’m so sorry I didn’t catch your name in my non-concentrating brain. but I hope you see this and I hope you get to know how important your kind gesture was to us. Something small to some, but as you could have never have known what we where possibly going through today. Merry Christmas to you kind lady. Good karma is coming to you. And merry Christmas to all staff at french’s forest iga petrie. Such a beautiful family of workers we love coming in.

10.01.2022 What a wonderful surprise I received this morning!!. For over 20 years I have been shopping at his store and when it changed hands, I'm sure like a lot of us, w...e were confused by the changes as things weren't where we would normally find them!! One thing however did not change and that is the beautiful Pauline who is the most genuine soul and a true asset to the company. Miss Pauline, you have been my councillor in times of need and always willing to lend me an ear and for that alone I am truly grateful. Joseph.. I believe I can speak on behalf of our community when I say that you have contributed to us all and upheld the stores name with absolute pride (I also now appreciate the changes you have made ). You are such a diligent worker and always ready with a smile and kind welcome. So a big thank you to ALL the staff for excellence in service and for my gifts. You have truly made my Christmas.
