12.01.2022 From Fremantle Sailing Club: INVITATION TO THE 2015 VALMADRE CUP & IRC STATE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES Dear Skippers & Crews... Fremantle Sailing Club is delighted to invite you to compete in this winters offshore racing program. The IRC State Championships return to FSC in conjunction with the Valmadre Cup series, promising big fleets and close racing. Competitors will have the option of a four-Saturday Valmadre series, with IRC and YAH handicapping, or adding an extra Sunday of two windward-leeward races to contest the IRC State Championships. Racing will be conducted in Gage Roads. Subject to entries, it is likely that both series will offer three fully-crewed divisions, plus a double-handed fleet. The double-handers will sail passage races on the days that the fully-crewed divisions do windward-leewards. A Category 4 safety standard makes the series accessible to both ocean and river racers. As our Rear Commodore Sailing Rob Thomas notes, "The Valmadre Series is always popular and well attended because the boats and crews are available to compete in winter. We are excited to welcome visiting sailors for the Valmadre Cup series and IRC State Championships, and to show off FSC's magnificent new clubhouse facilities, hospitality and race management." The entry fee for the Valmadre Cup series is $80 (free for FSC members), plus $50 to add the IRC State Championships (payable by all entrants). Daily results will be announced after each day's racing and series results announced after the final race. Full details of the program are contained in the Supplementary Notice of Race, which will be available on the event web page http://www.fsc.com.au//valmadre-cup-irc-state-championshi/ , along with the Free Berthing Application Form and the entry list. Entries can be made via FSCs online entry system https://events.fsc.com.au/eventapp/eventreg.aspx?eid=38 We look forward to seeing you at Fremantle as things hot up this winter. If you have any enquiries, please contact the FSC Sailing Office on 9435 8800 or [email protected] .

04.01.2022 Couple of conflicting forecasts for the Bali race though most agree on a pretty uncomfortable start.

03.01.2022 YACHTS of THE ALBANY - This Way Up - RF 360 - Fully-Crewed Div 2 A Sydney-Hobart veteran, Bryan "Poodle" Thurston & Hamish Maddern's Sydney 36 always gives a good account of itself offshore, especially in breezy conditions.
