Nine years ago, Freo Group’s team at Woodside’s Pluto LNG Project was awarded Contractor of the Month and won themselves $2,500 which was then donated to the local volunteer fire brigade. This moment is a great demonstration of Freo Group’s long-term commitment to safety and providing the best service possible. 14.01.2022 After engaging in some competitive fun cooking up chilli at the West Coast Manager's Meeting, the team donated their efforts to the Tranby Homeless Centre. The five different chillis went on to feed over 100 people.

12.01.2022 On this day ten years ago, we dismantled an aging overhead crane at Fremantle harbour. Freo Group has served the Western Australian community since 1974 and has been involved in thousands of lifts across the state. This lift is one of many we have participated in over the past 47 years, and just a snapshot of the experience and legacy Freo Group has in providing safe, efficient services.

06.01.2022 Celebrating their dedicated staff, Freo Group Karratha hosted their annual Awards Night at the Karratha Golf Club last weekend. Along with a chance to let their hair down, special thanks were given to all long-term Freo employees, especially Ross Sherlock for his fifteen years of commitment and service in the North West.

03.01.2022 Freo Group's expert in-house engineering team has supported numerous projects across Australia, providing technical expertise on all manner of lift and shift projects. Until recently, the entire department was located in Western Australia, however, as of July, Freo Group will operate an engineering branch from our Brisbane depot. This will enable Freo Group to build on our existing engineering capabilities by better offering services across the country and time zones.

01.01.2022 Freo Group has proudly partnered with Ashburton Aboriginal Corporation and Royal Life Saving Society WA to provide job opportunities to young indigenous people in the North West. Through this program, stay-at-home dad, Eric Snook was interviewed and offered a position with Freo Group's Port Hedland branch. We look forward to having Eric and other program participants join the Freo team.

01.01.2022 The regional manager for the Bowen Basin, Jim Bell, was on hand to welcome a TIDD PC28, a 28T pick and carry crane to the fleet. After running through some training with TRT Australia, the team were free to transport the shiny new crane to the Freo Group depot in Dysart.
