25.01.2022 Oh what a night! FCHC 2020 ‘Narnia themed’ Wind up was a fantastic evening, celebrating our first full season at The Nest along with lots of individual and team awards. A big thank you to our Social Committee ladies for organizing the evening (Coby Rowcroft, Darcy Smith and Camryn Pow) to Jennifer O'donnell and Tania for all your help with the decorations and setup. The club has never looked better! Your efforts were appreciated by all. Also to Lill Raine for getting the... bar in tip top shape and putting the Windup edition of the Magpie together. Amazing And also to Rob and the rest of the committee - a big thank you! Here’s our list of major award winners for the night. Professional photos from Marc Di Sabato to follow. 22.01.2022 Our queen, Laurie Packham Laurie holds such a special place in our club, not only as a former Australian Captain but as our club captain through some pretty amazing premiership years. Our Ladies Best and Fairest is named in Lauries honour and we are so lucky to still have Laurie regularly around the club and even participating in walking hockey until recently

13.01.2022 SUPERSTARS We can’t wrap up the season without a special thank you to two amazing club people who went above and beyond this year. Jennifer O'donnell took on the role of managing the kitchen and kiosk to say she did a stellar job would be understating it. We are incredibly grateful for the countless hours every weekend preparing the food and coordinating the rest of the club to help out as needed or manning the kiosk herself. Jen you are the best and we thank you. It would ...be remiss also not to thank Lisa Walsh for the beautiful cakes every week also. Amazing! Lill Raine stepped up to take on the position as Bar Manager at the last moment this season (on top of her Marketing and Media position on the committee). Without a fuss, Lill coordinates the bar, ensuring it is stocked with everyone’s favourites. She also makes sure the bar is staffed for every game, either by members or often herself to ensure all teams are able to enjoy a drink at the end of the match. These two ladies not only kept us fed and watered, but the financial contributions that their positions have made to our club bank balance is incredible. The whole club thanks you both for your time and effort, you both epitomize the Magpie spirit
