17.01.2022 As summer approaches, the first two of these ocean swim events are fast approaching Sorrento SLSC’s Big M Community Swim 11th October 2020 The Big M swim is a replacement event for the normal ‘Watermans to the Wall’ swim. There will be no actual WTTW 2020 swim. All paid registrations for this event will be rolled over to our proposed April 2021 Watermans to the Wall event. In the meantime, in an endeavour to give back to the swimming community that have traditionally supp...orted our previous WTTW events, we are offering a FREE swim on October 11th 2020. The Sorrento Big M Community Swim. It will be held on Sorrento Beach within the safe beach enclosure. The course will be in the shape of a big ‘M’. Swim half of the M for a 600m distance. Swim the full M for a 1.2km distance. Swim the M twice for a 2.4km distance The 2xM will incorporate a 380 mt. hard sand beach run. Registration will be online only via Webscorer, this is now live. There is no entry fee for this event - we will be rewarded by just seeing so many people back in the ocean doing what they love - "pushing their limits". We have however been confronted with some unexpected insurance costs so anyone that feels charitable, will be able to make a gold coin donation on the day.
