16.01.2022 Freo.Social is a big, multi-experience venue housed in the historic Artillery Drill Hall in the heart of you guessed it Fremantle. There are bars, beer gardens, kitchen, stages and more. Plus, one of the best live entertainment rooms in the state. We are seeking a chef to lead the kitchen operations at Freo.Social. The successful candidate will have culinary management experience, be super hands-on and supremely confident in the face of waves of people arriving for a show.... We are looking for a motivated chef who can undertake prep work, work on service and can delegate and manage staff. Role and Responsibilities Work with management on menu design, pricing and cost of goods sold analysis Undertake weekly kitchen staff rostering Run prep for the venue and a second sister venue Run the main service shifts Undertake stock counts and place goods orders in accordance with anticipated demand Oversee documentation and invoicing in accordance with group accounting procedures Supervise food prepping and cooking in line with HACCP Maintain cleanliness, sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area Staff training including food handling and plating Preferred Skills Worked in a commercial kitchen for a minimum of 3 years. Strong operational and coordination skills Experience with managing staff Create sound procedures and ensure efficiencies Strong people management and communication skills A can-do, no BS attitude The desire to produce quality meals and service experience Solid computer and record keeping skills We understand that hospo is a two-way street, and we plan on investing time, training and energy into you.
