20.01.2022 Here's a custom Oxygen Control Manifold we recently made for a Tasmanian salmon farmer. This manifold includes 4 x 200LPM Flowmeters with control valves. These manifolds can be designed for any manual or automatic oxygen control applications and are commonly used with our Oxygen Cones and Emergency O2 Diffuser systems.

16.01.2022 Luckily, Ben and Callum were able to install these research Rack Systems at the NSW DPI Fisheries Research site in Narrandera recently. NSW Fisheries engaged Fresh by Design to design and install a research tank room that will allow them to conduct controlled research within the facility. Environmental factors such as air temperature and water temperature can be controlled allowing experiments all year round. Research may include, cold water pollution, temperature tolerances,... otolith daily ageing, genetics, spawning cues and breeding, and threatened species advancement. The facility includes: - 4 x racks each with 4 x 80L glass tanks - 1 x rack with 20 x 80L glass tanks - Each rack has individual filtration, temperature control and aeration. - These Rack Systems were built and assembled in our workshop prior to delivery to reduce the time and cost on site. 13.01.2022 Good afternoon to all who stalk this page daily Did you know that before salmon are transported to the sea cages, each group must be challenged to ensure they are biologically ready for the rapid change from freshwater to saltwater? Google smoltification. We built and tested these two challenge systems in the workshop, packed them up and shipped down to Tasmania for a nice quick install by our Tassy based crew. Component breakdown of each system:... - 2 x 1000L Poly Tanks - FBD crafted Filter Sump using bags for mechanical filtration followed by a Moving Bed Biofilter then a pumping sump - Chiller on a loop to simulate those cool Tasmanian waters - Pump through a 50W UV then back to the tanks - Lids to keep the fish in and the rabbits out. We supply these same systems to schools and hobbyists as well.

They will be growing Rainbow Trout in the system and leafy green in a Vertical Green Wall. The Aquaponic System is a sustainable source of fresh fish and vegetables and will give students a hands-on learning experience developing animal/plant health, biology and chemistry knowledge. 10.01.2022 We are thrilled to be on site now installing a new Macroalgae Research Facility for the University of Waikato in New Zealand. We are project managing this install remotely using local contractors, complete 3D drawings, web cam communication and build checks all while managing COVID-19 regulations, social distancing and local and international travel restrictions. Luckily, we are well organised and enjoy a challenge!
