01.01.2022 I first met the hillsong united guys when they were unknowns and we got to design their custom Myspace band page in 2006! Now they lead worship to thousands in ...each city they visit. What some people find hard to understand is that they're still pretty much the same on platform, in front of a camera or behind closed doors. I saw this when one of them would go out of their way to pick me up from Seven Hills station before weekly meetings or when one of them was late because someone poked their eye when brushing their teeth (true story) or Jad's keen fashion sense of black tees for every occasion which now I have taken on. Or even the frustration they felt when they had to start ticketing events because after doing it for free for years as people would travel 5 hours on a bus with their youth group only to be turned away at the gate because of venue restrictions. If you're near a theatre showing the film "Let Hope Rise", I would encourage you to check it out and continue to support it by inviting friends and family.
