23.01.2022 It was a Trevally day onboard yesterday after the Flathead decided to shut down from the day before! Here’s Jenny using the Atomic Arrowz to put some hurt on a GT and keep him out of the trees! We’ve been using the Atomic Arrowz Rods from @frogleysoffshore on board for a little while now in both the estuary and bream ranges and they have been proving themselves over and over on good fish! 20.01.2022 Whether I'm fishing solo, or taking someone for a run, the reality of my boating is that 80% of the time or more, I launch and retrieve my boat on my own. This is basically because for a number of years recently I operated a single handed guided fishing business, which means that the breakdown of my fishing for the past few years has been 70% fishing with clients (where you simply can't risk having them involved in the launch/retrieve process for both their safety and yours); 20% Fishing solo to get my own wind down time; and as unfortunate as it is, only about 10% actually fishing with friends or family that know the process to assist with launching and retrieving the boat. 07.01.2022 Had an awesome day with Brad, Julie & Dan - we hit one of the smaller creeks in the morning and found a few good bass and a bucket load of decent flathead (we need rain!!!), then pulled the boat out at lunch and headed up the road to another spot were we found a few more flathead and Dan scored his first jew on a lure - very happy with that but being just after dark on a long day I didn't grab a pic !! Hard to decide if the highlight was watching one of Dans better flathead emerge out of deeper water to engulf a lure boat side right in front of us, or if it was hitting that final spot to try for a jew and the fish playing the game!

07.01.2022 Things were golden one day, and then the flood gates were opened then next... literally! The amazing Fitzroy producing the goods and the rain then destroying any hope of keeping it going. At least this will be a memorable catch for a while I think, not only my PB thready, but to see the fish on the sounder whilst working a bank and be able to pick up a @berkleyfishing_aus Powerbait Nemesis Paddle tail rigged on a heavy Nitro head, cast it over where he was sitting and feel that solid thud after only 1 or 2 slow lifts, was sensational. 02.01.2022 The past few weeks have been interesting on the rivers, with virtually no rain the water is clean and clear and the fishing is very up and down. A couple of weeks ago I was quite easily finding large schools of small bait with the odd fish hanging around them but this past week there doesn't seem to be much around, all my usual haunts where I know plenty of baitfish generally gather, I haven't seen much at all - but we have still normally managed to find fish.
