22.01.2022 Results like these! This lovely lady came in to see us in clinic @freshfaceskinsalon December last year & had one mild exfoliation treatment - where we used our ultra sonic skin scrubber - to gently exfoliate the skins surface, then applied an enzyme mask for gentle further exfoliation & finished with a lactic acid peel - to help strengthen the skins vascularity and retain moisture within the skin. As you can see, to the left, this skin was extremely angry. It had no lip...id barrier, was stripped & inflamed. This is an aggressive rosacea skin - with cystic acne aswell. To begin, we had to rebuild the skins barrier - so for the first 2 weeks post in-salon treatment, this lovely lady only used the Fresh Face Skin soother treatment am/pm and cleansed 1x daily. Once the skin had settled, we slowly introduced our Healer treatment both am/pm & the healer cleanser 1x daily - to work on calming surface inflammation, while clearing surface bacteria. This lovely lady has now introduced the the our Fresh Face Skin soother cleanser into her routine also, to add extra calming & nourishment, without stripping the skin when she cleanses in the am. 20.01.2022 Our Healer cleanser. Best suited to: Acne, inflamed, oily skin *Currently SOLD OUT. Available on line late Jan/early Feb. A gel & charcoal based cleanser, designed to help clear surface impurities, calm inflammation, while hydrating and balancing excess oil flow within the skin.... Just some of the key ingredients included: *Trehalose: derived from dried mushrooms, works on retaining that moisture/water within the skin, keeping your skin plump and hydrated *Saponaria officinalis leaf/root extract: A plant from the carnation family. It is naturally antibacterial and anti- inflammatory to the skin *Charcoal powder: A thin, odourless and tasteless black powder which comes from the coal of burnt wood or from fibre plants of the coco palm, bamboo and others. It has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, to help clear surface breakouts while calming inflammation and skin irritations. *Jojoba oil: made from the jojoba bean and naturally contains a balance of vitamins A, D and E which are known as skin healing vitamins. *Glycolic acid: This is a natural fruit acid that comes from cane sugar. Not only is it pretty to look at & so tasty to eat/drink, but it’s also super high in nutrients for overall body support, is loaded with fibre & magnesium for muscle and digestion support, helps maintain a healthy gut function & can help strengthen your immune system! 17.01.2022 Skin pigmentation. Did you know - pigment doesn’t only darken due to UV, it can also darken due to heat?! Even being inside for long periods of time during winter, with the heater pumping - can darken existing surface pigment! Being inside, can also contribute to skin pigment forming- as UVA rays can travel through glass! ... This is why it’s SUPER important to wear an SPF EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. There are 2 types of SPF - physical & chemical - Physical SPFs are usually white in colour (zinc based) and slightly thicker in consistency & work by adding an almost ‘shield’ to your skins surface layer - protecting your skin from UV entering. Chemical SPFs - usually lighter in consistency (similar to a lotion), allow UV to absorb into the skin, however ensure that your skin cells are protected from UV damage. Personally, although heavier in consistency, I prefer using a physical SPF over a chemical SPF - as physical sunscreens (think zinc based - more natural) will help to prevent existing surface pigment from darkening, as heat and UV will not enter the skin at all. But regardless, daily SPF application is KEY to prevention of skin ageing & pigment forming & skin cancer - especially when using our Reverser & Healer treatments in the morning, as they contain natural fruit acids which can accelerate UV damage due to their exfoliation affect on the skins surface.
