25.01.2022 Superfoods seem to be all the rage in food marketing. But there are some REAL superfoods. Kale has been proven to lower cholesterol levels (especially when steamed) and risk lowering benefits in many different types of cancer including bladder, ovary, prostate, colon and breast cancer. There are 45 different 'flavanoids' in kale, ones with really long names are both an anti-oxidant and have anti-inflammatory benefits. We did some experiments with Kale and it is yummmy (Kale chips!) especially when super fresh. We purchased our Kale as a test from a supermarket and a local store and the difference was incredible in longevity and taste. Well done to the local!

18.01.2022 Did you know? Fresh vegetables can lose up to 50 percent of their nutrients within a week of harvesting. Depending on how long it takes for veggies to get from the farm to the supermarket can mean the veggie you are eating has so little nutrition value you might as well eat the box!

16.01.2022 It's been a while since we have posted as we have been extremely hard at work going through a complete rebuild of the website. We have completed the build of the Sellers Administration application which is a complete website in itself - it is pretty amazing! The original idea was to allow someone growing mangoes in their backyard to be able to easily advertise and manage as well as small family owned businesses selling fresh food. I think we have achieved the balance of giving powerful tools as well as simplicity. Will be opening up for Sellers to be able to test and be part of the Beta launch hoping mid January.

We had heard about this last year when this article came out, but by around August/September Australia, (one of the biggest Mango producers in the world) will see 15,000 tonnes (15,000,000KG) of imported Mango on our shelves. Putting this in perspective - that's 75,000,000 mangoes. Imports are enough for 3 Mangoes for every man woman and child in Australia every year. Doesn't sound like much? That's $150,000,000.00 per year in lost revenue for Australian farmers. (at $2.00 per mango). What are your thoughts on this?
