25.01.2022 TASTING ALERT - MT LAWLEY 3-5PM Red and Green Brussel Sprouts.. like you never tried them before! So You HATE Brussel Sprouts.. we get it! It not your fault!.. It turns out, there is a scientific reason behind whether you love or hate Brussel sprouts, and it's got to do with your genes! ...... A 2011 study by Cornwall College found that sprouts contain a chemical, similar to phenylthiocarbamide, which only tastes bitter to people who have a variation of a certain gene. (you probably hate cabbage too!) Why would we tell you this when we want you to try our Brussel Sprouts? Well we think our tasting MIGHT CHANGE YOUR MIND today!! Today we are doing both red and green Brussel Sprouts a version in delicious burnt butter and NZ Black Garlic (forget about normal garlic flavour..
