22.01.2022 My honey mead has cleared up nicely ! Just ripe for drinking..... drools..... (not that i can sell it but i had to share as its exciting and honey related!!)

22.01.2022 Marybourgh Markets today! Still early and already hot and busy! More new artwork soaps available! Pics in shade really dont do them justice. Chilli sauces of course if you like it hot! And of course a fine selection of honey, dark, light, creamed, flavoured, cut comb plenty to choose from. Here until lunch time :) Brisbane run tommorow, then Marybourgh next thur, then Howard Christmas Twilight Market and of course always at home most days and times. So plenty availble :)

19.01.2022 Howard markets today! Crisp clear morning so far :) Getting very low on honey, so if your in need better sooner rather than later, sales depending i think i will run out in next 2 weeks and wont be able to extract again until it warms up in spring.

10.01.2022 Yah! I have a very limited supply of honey filtering atm! At least we will have something to sell again and satisfied some sweet cravings! By the weekend i should have some ready to sell again! Its a really nice thick dark dark golden and sweet flavour. We have everything crossed for a good spring, the girls are acting like its going to be a good one anyway.

09.01.2022 Assisted in a hive removal yesterday, very much up a tree, the old and wise on the ground and the young fit guy up the cherry picker hahaha It has been a swarming season this year, heres hoping for some rain to keep the honey flowing.

05.01.2022 Well that pretty much does us for markets (and shop supply) until it warms up and i can extract again. We have some honey left but not enough to get through a market day !! 02.01.2022 Funny girls they are. Some hives going great, some not so much, frames pictured are nearly all boys, this queen apparently wanted lots of male...and they are big boys also! Also frame close up has lava in it, little white grubs if anyone is interested :) The upside down lid is what happens as they run out of room, these ones are keen to build at least.... A couple of new queens to come this afternoon from a breeder. Good days!

02.01.2022 We had some farm visitors today with a brave boy who wanted to see some bees up close :) i only have old fat men suits haha littlest suits i had, they were so cute its crazy!! Even found a queen! Always a bonus (given i picked a small hive with low bee numbers to increase my odds but thats not the point hahaha) It was a really good afternoon visits, its great to be able to show kids our aniamls and how we look after them, and they got some honey comb to take home, it was so nice honey also, very very light almost clear honey! Extracting days not too far away i hope.

01.01.2022 Spring has sprung pretty much so the bees think! Which is great. Hopefully i will have some honey again soon to sell. Checked most of my hives in the last week and everyone is very active with best brood i have seen in last 18 months, so heres goes, we have got everything crossed for a good spring and summer!!
