24.01.2022 It’s almost here, the Prawn Star Freshwater Easter Festival Join us next Thursday 1st April from 5:30pm at the Freshwater Tennis Club precinct. With a wide variety of food stalls, market stalls, activities and entertainment, this event is perfect for the whole family with something for everyone, and a wonderful way to kick off the Easter break!... The Bad Boys of Uke will keep crowds entertained throughout the evening and the Easter Bunny will be dropping by at 6:30pm with plenty of Easter egg giveaways. Food stalls include Richards Salt & Pepper Takeaway, East coast Paella Co, Mojo Street Food, Dumpling Studio, Prawn Star Cairns Seafood Rolls, Tony's Pizza Cairns, Marsh’s Butchery Freshwater Tennis Club Sausage Sizzle, Salty’s Ice Cream, The Donut Shack and Aero Health Vegetarian & Organic Snacks. Market stalls include Inner Nature, Thermomix, Leonnata Decor, Rainboho, Scrunch Aalot, Yoshimi Quinn, Magic Balm, Stratford and Freshwater Community Association, WildCharm Jewellery, Marian Wolfs Ceramics, Paul Bong Artworks, Mumapotter, Sandac Imports, Crafty Cat Creations Cairns, Small Fry and Friends, Katy Belle Equestrian, Funky Frankie, Kim’s Crafts R’Us, Kaz's Cookies and Ginger Beer, naturalalkeme, CHABO HOUSE Designs, Your Spiritual Essence, Andibel Biscuits, Kettle Black Pottery, Adventure Mumma, Green-goo, Copper Imaginations, Eva James Creations and many more! 14.01.2022 We are all set for the Prawn Star Freshwater Easter Festival tomorrow, Thursday 1 April at the Freshwater Tennis Club precinct. As the first event of its kind for the region in 2021, we are proud and excited to once again be bringing the community together to enjoy a fantastic line up of activities and entertainment for the entire family. The festival is a showcase of local talent including a variety of food stalls with international flavours and something for all ages and ta...stes, over 30 market stalls with local arts and crafts, live entertainment, licensed bar, a host of children’s activities and the far north’s best tennis players competing in the Prawn Star FNQ A-Grade Tennis Tournament. The Prawn Star Freshwater Easter Festival is a FREE FAMILY EVENT unique in our region with all that it offers and a great way to kick off the Easter long weekend. We have worked closely with all involved in the lead up to ensure it’s a fabulous festival and have everything in place to deliver a Covid safe event including a more spacious food area with ample seating and space. We are incredibly grateful to Prawn Star Cairns, our naming rights sponsor, and our major event partner, Cairns Regional Council for throwing their support behind our festival.
