25.01.2022 Yesterday we met with Hon Curtis Pitt MP at the Edmonton Scout Group Den to present him with a Certificate of appreciation and a special MTMB limited edition wo...ggle to wear on his Scout Scarf to thank him for his ongoing support to the Madison Tam Memorial Benefit. Hon Curtis Pitt MP is no stranger to the Edmonton Scout Den as he was kind enough to attend an event organised by Madison a few years ago for her citizenship tape. It was at this event that Madison had organised for the Far North Region Scouts to " Scarf up" Curtis making him an Honorary Scout. #mtmb_2020 #fnq_scouts #scoutsqld #scoutsaustralia #scouts #community #nonprofit #giveback #donorlove #futureleaders #thankyou #joeyscouts #cubscouts #venturerscouts #roverscouts #MadisonTamMemorialBenefit

08.01.2022 Introducing Blue also known as "Daddy Blue" to the original Mulgrave Venturers. Blue has been there for every step of Madison's almost 9 year scouting journey. ... First as her Scout Leader, then as her Venturer Leader and finally as a mentor and valued friend. It just wouldn't be right to have an MTMB committee without Blue and we are honoured to have him on our team as we travel this new path in Madison's Scouting journey. #mtmb #fnq_scouts #scoutsqld #scoutsaustralia #scouts #community #giveback #nonprofit #volunteerappreciation #Leaderappreciation #thankyou #MadisonTamMemorialBenefit
08.01.2022 The Madison Tam Memorial Benefit was established by Jessa and Trevor Tam in April 2020 after the tragic loss of their daughter Madison on 6/4/20. As Parents ...we saw first hand the benefit being a Scout had in all areas of Madison's life, confidence, leadership, management and friendships are just a few of these. Our main goal in establishing the MTMB was to create a scholarship fund to help support youth members enabling them to achieve the things that Madison was most passionate about. Our vision is for Madison's memory to live on in the community that she was proud to be a part of and that the Madison Tam Memorial Benefit will be her legacy for many years to come. #mtmb_2020 #fnq_scouts #scoutsqld #scoutsaustralia #scouts #community #giveback #nonprofit #volunteerappreciation #thankyou #MadisonTamMemorialBenefit

03.01.2022 Our Youth Program is designed to encourage young people to try new things and peruse existing interests. The Special Interest Areas are just one of the ways our... program does this! When proposing a Special Interest Area (SIA) Project for their Achievement Pathway, Scouts use Plan>Do>Review> to set a goal that challenges them in one of the 6 categories of the SIA’s and then work towards achieving it. Setting personal goals means all SIA Projects are relevant and inclusive for the young person aiming to achieve it! #SIA #ReadySetScout #achievementpathways See more

01.01.2022 LEST WE FORGET On the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month - we remember. We remember the sacrifice of more than 330,000 Australians who characterised our nation during WW1. ... We remember the sacrifice of those that followed in their footsteps after, leaving a lasting impression in our hearts and minds. We remember them, acknowledge them and we stand in a moment’s silence so that we may never forget them.
