16.01.2022 MARVELLOUS NEWS - RUMMY IS SAFELY HOME! I retrieved Rummy on Wednesday night June 17 after 14 weeks and 2 days missing - exactly 100 days! He disappeared on March 10 and was retrieved in the evening of June 17. The photo below was taken on June 19 and shows Rummy happily back in our showroom. What a magnificent and friendly creature! ... Rummy is in outstanding condition given the time that hes been out there. He hasnt lost as much weight as one might expect so hes been finding food and a place to hunker down in, just as I expected. A very streetwise creature, having been a rescue cat previously. Hes already had many local visitors too. Full details to be posted when I have time to write. I need a little time to get my head around the events of the last 100 days. Its been quite an ordeal, as many of you would know. Thank you to all those who supported Rummy here.

05.01.2022 FRETS N NOTES Famous Cat - VOTE 1 for RUMMY

03.01.2022 Update: 16.6.20 : URGENT ATTENTION KEW RESIDENTS PLEASE CHECK YOUR PROPERTY VERY THOUROUGHLY IN CASE RUMMY IS HIDING IN YOUR SHED OR UNDER YOUR HOUSE, UNDER BUSHES and also any place that might provide a hidey spot no matter how unlikely in your own mind. Hes VERY adept at hiding! He would likely only emerge at night, very early in the morning, or if very hungry. Were still moving door to door in the hope of finding Rummy well ensconced with someone who has taken him in and is feeding him. Naturally this is quite time consuming and to a degree weather dependent. The cold days are making it a challenge too. PLEASE CONTINUE TO VISIT HERE for further updates. Rummy needs all the help he can get to make his way back home!

02.01.2022 The Cat Protection Society of Victoria (CPSV) is helping to investigate the suspected catnapping of one of its star moggies. Rummy, the beloved pet of Jeffre...y Coster, was one of 12 cats who featured in CPSVs Famous Felines 2020 calendar. Last Tuesday afternoon he went missing, believed stolen, from the FRETS N NOTES music showroom on Cotham Road, Kew. Understandably, Mr Coster is desperate to be reunited with Rummy. The customers of FRETS N NOTES are also keen to see their four legged friend found, as Rummy has become quite the local celebrity. Rummy is a real peoples cat, who lives in the perfect surrounds to meet lots of people. He is an indoors cat and spends his days in the showroom of my business premises where there is much coming and going every day. He relishes nothing more than receiving attention from anyone who moves into his orbit, Mr Coster said. Mr Coster is particularly concerned about a catnapping, as Rummy is not an outside cat and had no way of getting out of the building himself. Rummy was adopted from the Cat Protection Society of Victoria in 2018 and is nearly four years old. To assist with finding Rummy, CPSV is offering the opportunity for anyone who has Rummy to drop him off at their headquarters in Greensborough no questions asked. Rummy can also be dropped off to the Kew neighbourhood Kew Vet and Cattery. He will then be reunited with Jeffrey as soon as possible. The Cat Protection Society of Victoria (CPSV) is located at 200 Elder St, Greensborough. CPSV Administration Manager, Alison Thompson says everyone at the society hopes Rummy will be found. Were devastated to hear when any cat goes missing and have such a soft spot for Rummy after being one of the star cats from our calendar. Rummy has definitely got star qualities, in the competition that coincided with the launch of our Famous Felines calendar, he got the most votes from the CPSV community. Anyone with information about Rummys whereabouts should contact Jeffrey on (03) 9853 9553, their local police station, or drop Rummy off at the Cat Protection Society of Victoria or Kew Vet and Cattery.
