11.01.2022 We are super excited to have received our brand new mindDog Australia vest. We love the new design and I think Freya looks GORGEOUS in it. Today we attended an appointment together. After a little bit of excitement, Freya relaxed on her mat. It is amazing how much she helps regulate my anxiety - whenever I felt it increase, I simply gazed at Freya and stroked her fur. I am so grateful for her daily support. We hope you all have a wonderful weekend! 01.01.2022 What a fantastic training session with Yvonne from Busimann's Dog Training today. We went to Aldi to practice some recall training in the shops. This pushed both Freya and I as a team. I feel such confidence in challenging environments knowing Freya is there to support me. I got overwhelmed and anxious with the amount of people, the bright lights, and the sounds however I remembered to direct my attention at Freya, stroke her hair, and focus on training tasks. Instead of pani...cking, I was able to co-regulate with Freya and do some sit and drop stay exercises with her. I am so proud of how far we have come together as a team and it is exciting that such overwhelming environments are becoming more accessible for me with her by my side.
