24.01.2022 Throwback Thursday: Little Girl with Big Dreams.... Much as I’ve always loved nature & the outdoors, I never really thought it would be possible to make a living from helping others to enjoy and experience the things I love! I was probably 12 or 13 in this pic, and my big dreams looked a whole lot different to my goals and dreams now. Back then I thought happiness lay on the other side of mainstream success; education, money, status... ... Hey, I’m not saying that these things don’t have their place; of course they do! I’m so blessed to have had the opportunity to rebel from my wonderful bush hippy parents by going to uni & studying law & business. But, it definitely hasn’t brought me the joy I had hoped or expected. In fact, the older I get, the closer I am to going full circle and telling my parents they may just have been right all along... shhhh don’t tell them I admitted this to you! 20 years after this pic was taken, joy still comes in the same way; exploring, adventuring, appreciating the beauty and wonderment of nature. Sadly, like many of us, I often get stuck in the concrete jungle and forget to dose myself up on much-needed nature nurture. But, I’m never disappointed when I do! What’s the next nature adventure you have planned? If you can’t answer this question, get planning!
24.01.2022 Whos loving this so-called winter weather?! although somehow it always seems to rain on Sundays aka yike days at the moment. . Lets hope for a Sunny Sunday next weekend for the Helena Dam Yoga Hike. In the meantime, here are the pics I took of my lovely yiking ladies during the last yike at the Old Quarry. It has been soooo lovely connecting in smaller groups but tickets were also selling out super quick. With covid19 restrictions easing there will be... more tickets available again. Have a great week everyone. xx
22.01.2022 What better way to kick off a sunny Spring weekend than enjoying nature, wellbeing & connection? Thats exactly what our wonderful group of yikers did at Saturday mornings Rocky Pool Yoga Hike! Despite the neighbourhood rap tunes filtering into our savasana, nature and birdsong triumphed to create an atmosphere of relaxation, beauty and fun! Thanks for coming guys! See you at the next one! .... or at the Yoga in the Pasture FUNdraiser for the wonderful animals of Greener Pastures Sanctuary.

20.01.2022 I LOVE WATERFALLS! ...and casually practicing yoga beside them. Ok, so maybe not the second part. Staged much? ... Seriously though, I was out in the Perth Hills yesterday and the water is FLOWING! Oh, and better yet, the wildflowers have also started BLOOMING. If you havent had a chance to go for awhile, NOW is the BEST TIME! Can you tell Im a little bit excited about Spring? (shhh August is close enough!) Still a few tickets available for my Rocky Pool Yoga Hike on Saturday 12 September if youre keen to explore the gorgeous hills AND get your yoga practice in out in nature. Link in bio to book. Whats your favourite waterfall or waterway spot near Perth?

20.01.2022 Good news to see funding in this space. I hope this means some better trail markers to help those going on self-guided hikes. Some more toilet facilities wouldnt go array at popular spots too!
19.01.2022 Come Yike with Me! Rocky Pool is in full flow at this time of year and it is SUCH an AMAZINGLY beautiful spot - flowing fresh water, wildflowers, sometimes wildlife if we are lucky. What better way to spend a Sunday than nourishing body and soul with some nature nurture. Book at https://www.trybooking.com/BLANV See you there. Weoooowww :) :) :)
19.01.2022 Hiking packing list: Water Good shoes Snacks ... Cat Seriously though, why not? Were limited by so many rules and expectations in this society... but some of the limits are actually just in our own minds. What would you do if you didnt care what others might think? When Im not yiking with you guys, Im hiking with this guy. (Spud aka @friedasfelines ). Or taking him to a cafe with me... He loves our adventures, I love hanging out with him, AND seeing Spud out and about makes people smile. So, why not? Is there anything random or a bit different that youve been wanting to try? I encourage you to believe in yourself and go for it! xx Disclaimer: I hike with Spuddo in places where dogs are allowed... this is out near Bells Rapids.
18.01.2022 How freaking epic is nature right now? This is me, in my natural element, at the Rocky Pool Yoga Hike on Sunday. Its SUCH a privilege that you guys want to follow me on these cool adventures. Thank you! ... If you havent been out to the hills for a while, now really is the BEST time! My top recommended spots at this time of year are Rocky Pool (obvs.), Ellis Brook Valley & John Forrest National Park! So, what are you waiting for? Message your friends a plan a day trip! xx
18.01.2022 Yay! We are finally going to get some sunny Sunday weather. :) still a few tickets available if anyones keen to Yike. :) https://www.trybooking.com/book/event?eid=624189&
17.01.2022 Fun at Karijini! Looking forward to having our yoga and canyoning crew with us in a few days. It’s going to be epic!
17.01.2022 Sunflowers turn according to the position of the sun. In other words, they chase the light. You might already know this, but there is another fact that you ...probably do not know! Have you ever wondered what happens on cloudy and rainy days when the sun is completely covered by clouds? This is an interesting question.Isnt it? Perhaps you think the sunflower withers or turns its head towards the ground. Is this what crossed your mind? Well, thats incorrect! This is what happens: They turn towards each other to share their energy. Natures perfection is amazing. Now lets apply this reflection to our lives. Many people may become low-spirited, and the most vulnerable ones, sometimes, become depressed. How about following the example of the beautiful sunflowers i.e."Supporting and empowering each other". Nature has so much to teach us. Wishing everyone a "Sun flower" trait of turning towards each other on their cloudy and gloomy days. Spread goodness...it will come back to you...
17.01.2022 I'm stoked to be offering another new & exciting event - twilight abseiling & quarry yoga topped off with delicious pizza. This will be at Mountain Quarry, just 30 minutes from Perth. The perfect way to be a tourist in your own backyard! See you there! :)

13.01.2022 Yusssss we are live! I have been working with the amazing Sven from Spacechameleon Adventure Co on this exciting offering for some time now. Super excited to finally be able to share this amazing adventure opportunity with you all and invite you along. This truly is one of those adventure-of-a-lifetime, tell-your-grandkids-about-it-one-day opportunities. I really look forward to sharing this wonderful experience with 10 awesome humans! :)
13.01.2022 Sawubona: I see you. Sikhona: I am here to be seen. This is how the Zulu people of South Africa have greeted each other for centuries. ... I love this. Words are powerful - they show an intention and invoke emotions. Wouldnt it be awesome if we set the intention to really SEE each other? And to let ourselves be seen, in our truth, by others? If we strip back the roles and the conformance to societal expectations, we are all so similar in our desires for love, community, meaning, connection, purpose... So, why do we so often hide what we really want/think/feel? I give you permission to be real and raw at my events and classes. My intention is always to meet you where you are at, and to see you.
13.01.2022 Ive just released some more tickets to this previously sold out event due to easing of COVID-19 restrictions. aaaaaannndd even more exciting: Ill be feeding you. Morning teas are back baby! Slightly changed, but plenty of food to fill you up.

11.01.2022 I posted these pics, complete with a well-thought-out and clever caption, last night. Or so I thought... I received so little engagement that I thought that a. I am not as clever as I like to think I am or b. Something had gone horribly wrong. Turns out they must have been sent out into the technology ether, clever wording and all. So, here they are again. A few happy snaps from a perfect winter yike at Helena Pipehead Dam, complete with nature, chats, yoga and delici...ous snacks from Darringtons. Nom nom. I hope you all enjoyed yourself - it was an absolute pleasure to have you along! Have a great week, and see you next time. xx
11.01.2022 May 10 Quarry Yikers Thank you for joining me (and half of Perth ) at Ellis Brook Valley a week ago to hike, stretch and bask in the beautiful Autumn rays. Its such a privilege to have so many awesome people keen to come and hang with me on a sunny Sunday for my fave combo of activities! Here are a few happy snaps I took of our crew. Hope to see you again soon.
09.01.2022 Sven’s first lot of pics. What an epic adventure!
06.01.2022 Its wildflower season! . AKA the best time to explore the wonderful bushland around Perth. My top picks for wildflowers nearby are:... 1. Ellis Brook Valley - try the Blue Wren Ramble as well as the 60 foot falls trail. 2. John Forrest National Park - the Eagle View Trail is epic, but a big day... if youre keen for something shorter just head up to the lookout and turn back from there. Youll get to enjoy the amazing National Park Falls along the way. 3. Kings Park... pretty self explanatory, but easy to forget whats right under our nose sometimes. Let me know if you do get to any of these awesome spots, and what you think. Have fun exploring this Spring.
05.01.2022 80% chance of rain in Kalumunda tomorrow so lets not yike hey! Its hard to keep calm and carry on with yoga when you are being bucketed down on... Im sure its a great test of how much the yoga is working for us, but we will leave that for another day. will postpone for a week and hope for a sunny Sunday next weekend. As usual, ticket holders will be sent an email later today and of course there will also be a refund option. xx Pic for attention. Haha
