25.01.2022 Susan knew she had a good life. Everything was going well for her, she had amazing friends and a supportive family. But after her diagnosis, her perspective on everything changed. Until that point, she hadn't realized or appreciated how amazing her support network was, which made all the difference to her. Organizations, such as Breast Cancer Network, along with her friends and family gave Susan the strength she needed to fight through her battle. She had felt so loved by all... the love she received that she wanted to give the love to people going through cancer. She wrote a book explaining all the different ways people helped Susan throughout her journey to inspire others. Susan is only one example of a women who is battling cancer and forced to deal with the many physical and emotional challenges of treatment. This illness can make it very easy to get discouraged, and patients needs every ounce of support, love, and encouragement from their family, friends, and the world at large. That is why Breast Cancer Network has decided to launch a new campaign called : Pushup to Persevere in which people will be encouraged to donate to the cause and compete in a worldwide push up challenge. Help support these women PUSH through this disease despite the difficulties. Donate to the cause and join the pushup challenge. 25.01.2022 At 32, Lisa had finished nursing Tommy, her 1 year old when she felt something in her left breast. And then she felt it again. " It was like a lightening bolt hit me. I just knew it was cancer". From there, everything happened quickly. The lumpectomy, bilateral mastectomy, 18 weeks of chemo, reconstruction and 1 year of Herceptin. Being a patient was a full time job. Lisa had no strength or energy left to be a mom. Breast Cancer Network gave the support Lisa needed to push th...rough and get through this, no matter what happened. 20.01.2022 When Josephine was diagnosed with breast cancer she realized she had a choice to make. She could either walk around depressed all the time, or she could try to find the positive in the bad situation. After she had her first surgery, she had an x-ray to make sure the cancer didn't spread throughout her body. When she received the good news that it in fact didn't spread, she decided to focus on everything she did have in her life. Her friends, her family, and organizations, suc...h as Breast Cancer Network, were all there to support her no matter what challenges she was facing. Just knowing that, gave her something to be grateful for.
