20.01.2022 Triplets THREE tiny Hooded Plover chicks have hatched on 13th Beach and we need your help! They are a threatened species. Please avoid the area between 31W... & 32W where an 'Exclusion Zone' has been set up. This allows the chicks to feed and grow without disturbance and Mum and Dad Hoodie to do their important parenting work without the stress that comes from having humans and dogs nearby. Pls observe all exclusion fences and signage and cross your fingers for these little ones

A temporary exclusion zone is in place and volunteer wardens will be on the beach to help watch out for the chicks and provide information to beach users on how they can help them thrive.
