18.01.2022 The Rainforest Walk at Rumbalara is a favourite but there are many others to explore. Give it a try. You'll be surprised how beautiful COSS is.
15.01.2022 Great to see the CEN Bush Regeneration team restoring local flora at Lisarow and other locations during Green Week.
13.01.2022 Please make fact-based comments only. CEN's position is that ecologically sensitive areas need to be protected. Council's reserves are, by definition, ecologically sensitive. Other, more appropriate locations, need to be found for mountain bike trails.

11.01.2022 The COSS Connections project is busy setting up three Greenteam Bushcare groups for private landholders in target areas: Matcham/Holgate; Macmasters/Copa/Avoca/Kincumber; and Narara/Niagara park/Lisarow/Somersby. We Recently had a Greenteam Information Picnic at Macmasters Beach on 10 September attended by three landholders who are engaged in the COSS Connections project. As a result we established Macs/Copa Greenteam Bushcare, which will meet once a month. The first session will be held at Pat Neve’s property at Copacabana on 7 October. On 23 September we had a Katandra Reserve picnic (pictured) and established Holgate/Matcham Greenteam Bushcare. Its first monthly meeting will be at James McLaren's property on 14 October.

08.01.2022 The Central Coast Council staff report on mountain biking considered by the Administrator on Monday night said Council initiated a Mountain Bike Feasibility Study in 2019 in response to a rapidly emerging land management issue, being the increasing construction and subsequent use of unauthorised mountain bike tracks in Council’s natural reserves. Have you seen evidence of this in COSS?

04.01.2022 Happy trails? The Central Coast Council Mountain Bike Feasibiloity Study Discussion Paper, to be placed on public exhibition early in 2021 identifies Kincumba Mountain Reserve (pictured), Rumbalara, Katandra and Ferntree Reserves, Munmorah State Conservation Area and Wyrrabalong National Park as potential sites suitable for regional mountain bike parks. A regional site is required to have between 20 and 80km of trail, two loops, a site area of more than 500 hectares, a location within 40km of a 15,000 population and less than 10km from highways and major roads.
04.01.2022 One of the many problems associated with the building and use of illegal mountain bike trails in COSS. Love COSS.

Our elected representatives have been suspended so, if you ca...re about the environment, it is critically important to be part of the consultation process. "In the last financial year more than 6,000 pieces of feedback from our community helped shape 50 projects, plans and strategies and our ‘Your Voice Our Coast’ online portal offers a seamless user experience to provide your important feedback." Out of a population of nearly 350,000 that's not a lot of feedback so mack sure you have your say! https://www.centralcoast.nsw.gov.au//ensuring-voice-our-co
