25.01.2022 Hi Folks, Some pics from our weeding last Sunday. A before and after pair of photos, a couple of shots of our diligent weeders and sadly two pictures of about 15 bags of dog poo found at two locations along the little path. Clearly somebody hoped they wouldn't be found. On a happier note, we appreciated seeing most people walking their dogs on leads (and hopefully not tossing their bags of dog poo into the scrub).
25.01.2022 Our members might be interested in this.
25.01.2022 Of interest to people who cherish our land.

18.01.2022 Environmental groups can achieve their goals.
18.01.2022 We walked near to the end of Edwards Point today. We saw several red-necked stints on their migration and what we think were a couple of rare and threatened red capped plovers. However we also saw four large dogs off lead. Please leash your dog if you love nature. These little precious birds dont stand a chance against any curious dog.
18.01.2022 Happy World Wetlands Day! Today marks the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Ramsar Convention. We are so lucky to have a Ramsar wetland in Corangamite!... Its incredibly important we do everything we can to protect our wetlands. They are important habitats for plants and animals including frogs, fish, turtles and migratory birds. 10.01.2022 Happy Naidoc Week! Our peninsula was once covered in these wonderful grasslands. They were managed by our traditional owners, to gather the many seeds, bulbs an...d tuber species. They are rare, precious and protected now. We are hoping to restore and grow them back. Edit: see comments for more info See more
10.01.2022 We are called upon again to attempt to protect precious habitat from development. We all grumble about loss of environmental infrastructure, but each of us can do more.
09.01.2022 Some very interesting forums you can access.
08.01.2022 Im so proud to support Bellarine Landcare and the remnant tree project. Remnant trees, or old paddock trees, are the remnants of the former bush which once c...loaked the Bellarine. With funding from the Australian Government Communities Environment Program, landholders with old indigenous trees are invited to come forward and work with Bellarine Landcare to protect trees currently on site and undertake revegetation. Its hoped one day we can line the Bellarine once again with beautiful Yellow and Red Gums!
