In fact it takes a small army!! To our Patrol Members, Committee Members, Trainers & Assessors, Water Safety, Age Managers, Team Managers, Officials, Raffle Ticket Sellers, BBQ Cooks, the list goes on and on.... 03.01.2022 An important message from our Surf Life Savers.... Our Flags may be down but we are still standing Up. Our Volunteers are still covering Marcoola Beach for a few more weeks, and protecting the swimmers should they get into difficulty or just need to know where is the best place to swim. We are worried about the Corona Virus but we are just as concerned about people drowning. That's why our Club continues to do what it does best. Save Lives. ... Even this morning Lifeguards had to respond to 000 call for a 5 YO male caught in a rip at Marcoola beach access 109. Fortunately they were OK. Our surf lifesaving members attendance is optional for them as we ensure their safety and well being. Remember Keep your distance Only Use the beach for exercise Do not sun bake, sit or gather on the beach Swim where the Lifesavers or Lifeguards can see you. Ask their advice if you are unsure Remember Us when this is over because we may need your help then From the dedicated and vigilant Lifesavers at Marcoola Surf Lifesaving Club
