23.01.2022 Samishran is a fusion between Nepali and Scottish music. Kutumba collaborated with musicians from Scotland on one of their tours and this is the result of the inspiration. The concert was held at the Octagon Theatre, UWA on 1 April 2017. The concert was organised by Namaste Nepal. Friends of Nepal - Australia was a part o...f team to bring it to people of Perth. Kutumba is a folk instrumental ensemble committed to the research, preservation and celebration of the diversity that exists in indigenous Nepali music.

15.01.2022 What an amazing afternoon it was. Thank you to all those who attended our fundraising lunch with Dr Hilary Wallace in person or donating it to the event. We got an opportunity to hear from Dr Wallace about her work in Nepal in collaboration with Notre Dame University and people of Nepal. We will make the presentation available soon through our social media. The talk was inspiring and focussed on how individuals can make a difference in the lives of those in need. Many times..., it does not have to be larger organisations that can help but everyone at individual level can bring about a change through persistence and passion. We cannot thank enough to our gorgeous dance performer Lisa Shrestha, for presenting a classic Nepali dance and introducing the Perth locals to a culture dear to our heart. It was mesmerising. Everyone enjoyed the lunch and few won our valuable raffle prizes as well. Congrats to our all three winners! We have managed to raise close to $1500. This means a lot to our beneficiaries and will go a long way in bringing about positive change in the lives of many that simply cannot afford basic necessities of living. Once again, we would like to thank you all and hope to see you all in our future programs to help our projects. Because right now, cancer is th...e largest single killer of children from disease in Australia over 600 children are diagnosed with cancer every year and sadly, 3 die every week. Kids should be living life, not fighting for it. And so we are riding and raising funds to support the Children's Medical Research Institute to continue their work into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and finding a cure for childhood cancer. 07.01.2022 Good News! Smokeless stoves designed by RIDS-Nepal now have a Seal of Approval from Climate Stewards for offsetting carbon emissions. Based on the data from the baseline survey, it is expected that each stove will save at least 6.5 tonnes of carbon emissions per year over a project lifespan of 10 years+. ... More Smokeless Stoves will be installed in the region through "Family of 4" project in Syada village and in Humla and Jumla region.
