23.01.2022 Teouma Christian Academy Kindy is ready to go!! We have been so blessed to have had this awesome team of ladies at V2 Life this week helping me get the Kindy and 1-4 Classroom ready for the very first classes to begin in just a couple of weeks. How awesome does the learning space look with all of its finishing touches completed! ... While we have been busy inside, the boys have been working hard building a toilet block, digging trenches for power lines and being of great assistance when tools have been required in the rooms! It’s been such a pleasure and an honour to resource the V2 Life school ready to welcome students to begin their education! I can’t wait for updates throughout the year!
19.01.2022 Time to do something impacting!! We've chartered 2 flights to evacuate 22 people, including 7 children & babies, out of Ambae today. Best $4k ever spent! But we need your help! ... To cover the costs of the flights and ensure we can continue to provide essentials and care for them all we URGENTLY need FUNDS. These families will be placed in emergency accomodation and are fleeing with no more than a back pack of essentials each. 05.01.2022 It been another other couple of busy days but the first Teouma Christian Academy classroom is almost finished and ready to welcome its new students now too. From blank canvas to an inviting learning space for the students to enjoy. Desks with tidy trays filled with student resources, toothbrushes, a lovely message from NZ students and school bag; science zone; reading corner, puzzles and games galore. Everything is set for an exciting year of discovery and learning. Shout... out to Ormiston State School in Brisbane, Australia for the awesome school desks; they’re so great!!! THANK YOU! Thank you again to the awesome volunteers who were here for the past week sorting and setting up with me! Your time here has been such a blessing; it was great to meet you all, and I’m certainly looking forward to seeing more of you at Redlands College! And of course, a huge thank you to everyone who contributes to our projects by donating resources, buying equipment, joining teams, or financially contributing - without your generosity we couldn’t impact the communities we do! Last but not least, thank you to Roger and Cindy of V2 Life for inviting Impact Vanuatu to be a part of their school vision! It’s been an honour and a privilege to work with you. Your heart and vision for this community shines bright; and the school will fill such a need in the area! May God continue to bless your ministry abundantly! Looking forward to officially handing the keys back over to V2 Life and their passionate staff to begin this exciting journey with their new students!
03.01.2022 Hi IV friends It’s been a long while since our last update. For those of you who don’t know, we took a break from mission for a couple of years to focus on our own family and fill our soul cups again so that we could give the best of ourselves to the outreach projects around Vanuatu. I’m excited to share that at this very moment we are setting up our 12th kindy in Vanuatu. This one is in partnership with V2 life, to equip their brand new school, the Teouma Christian Academy.... In just a few short weeks the doors will open on an exciting new learning space for children of the area where they will have the opportunity to discover, explore and reach their learning potential! If you’d like to help Impact these children’s futures and change their lives through education you can sponsor a student! I’ll upload the link in comments shortly. In the meantime check out the progress of the new kindy space we’ve been working hard on this week: from empty room to a bright and colourful space to grow and learn in!
