As mentioned in Dave's post below, Bob EastGate was one of the founding Members of the Friends of the RAAF Museum. Vale. It's with a heavy heart that I would like to pass on the news that Robert (Bob) Eastgate passed away in the early hours this morning. One of the founders of the warbird movement in Australia, there wouldn't be many people that haven't heard about or seen his beautiful Australian built Mustang, A68-104. A man of passion, integrity, vision. love of his family and a gentleman. Along with a few others, this passion for the RAAF and the RAAF Museum, led to him becoming one of the founding members of the Friends of the RAAF Museum.
