24.01.2022 This QPWS agazine has an article about Tamborine. https://npaq.org.au//FINAL-Issue-27-Autumn-2020-PROTECTED-

23.01.2022 At our last working bee, we had a successful working bee at Cedar Creek Section weeding around our plants, removing tree guards and clearing lantana. A successful morning for our first working bee since the 7 March. Thanks everyone for venturing out and giving up your Saturday morning. The FoTNP hosted two groups from the Kokoda Youth Foundation at the Knoll Section last weekend. The Kokoda Kids had walked the Kokoda Track last September after 14 months preparation. The... Kokoda Kids are encouraged to do community service once a month for 7 months after walking the Kokoda Track but because of schooling and CORVID-19, they have not been able to do any community service. This was their first activity. We had 13 Kokoda Kids and 3 leaders on Saturday and it was wet with a Tamborine Mist all morning. We had 13 Kokoda Kids and 2 leaders on the Sunday and the weather was much better. The main activity was to remove mistflower and crofton weed on the side of the track from the rainforest edge and out to Cameron Falls lookout. A small group did some lantana clearing. Both groups worked well and were a happy lot and were well managed by their leaders. The groups were happy to work through without a morning tea break and to head home after lunch. The leaders were keen the organise a similar activity in 2021 with the contingent for the 2020 Kokoda Kids. I think the work we achieved on the weekend will benefit the visitors experience of the national park. This brings me to the FoTNP working bee on the 4 July 2020. I am suggesting that we go back to The Knoll Section , Tamborine National Park and finish the project. This is a good area to work with plenty of warm winter sun. We will be undertaking some maintenance tasks and weed control on the circuit walk to Cameron’s Falls. Meet at The Knoll Section, Tamborine National Park, at the end of Knoll Road (left branch in road), Tamborine Mountain, UBD Gold Coast map 13 reference K-8 at 8:00am on Saturday the 4 July 2020. You need to bring a small backpack for drinking water and morning tea and wear long sleeved shirts, long pants, gardening gloves, hat and sturdy shoes. There is plenty of space where we can practise our social distancing. Hope you can come along. 10.01.2022 Comment here if you support Tamborine residents opinion on National Parks Management.

01.01.2022 With good community management this could be a good idea for Tamborine.
