They had come across an earlier post of ours on the misconception of circuit breakers and decided to act upon it. 11.01.2022 Another switchboard upgrade completed for a customer in Rye. We choose to use ‘busbar’ to feed the RCBOs. (the linking bar located at the bottom of the RCBOs) This alleviates the need to twist several wires together, all of differing gauges into the main switch terminal. It provides better contact and reduces the risk of ‘hot spots’. Also, it makes for a much neater and safer installation with provisions for further circuits to be installed with ease in the future. ... In this particular installation the cables were clipped to the wall which could potentially be dangerous considering the surrounding shelving. We installed an industrial style cable tray and cover to protect the cables from any form of mechanical damage.
