The organiser and one of the co-hosts of the giveaway, @lovingtwo_ (Ella Ryan), ‘won’ the giveaway through a fraudulent account that she ran (@kimmy_n_coboutique, which has since been deleted). No one else involved in the giveaway was aware of her actions. We confirmed Ella’s actions on Saturday - and had enough evidence to lodge criminal reports against her. We did not share this w...ith everyone right away, as we wanted to be certain of all facts before revealing such a hurtful and deceitful crime. Everyone involved was appalled and spent Saturday reeling from this discovery. Many had known her for a long time, even years. The shock that another mother could do this to those she claimed as friends, was devastating. On Sunday, Mother’s Day, we managed to recover some of the stolen items. This was a day that should have been spent wholeheartedly with our families, but we couldn’t. I want you to know that everyone else involved in this Giveaway discussed how to best handle this situation. We’ve gone so far as to obtain advice from both the police and lawyers. The purpose of this post is not to name and shame. It is to inform. This is where we are at. We have recovered some items, it’s unlikely we will ever obtain them all. Please don’t add derogatory comments here. This won’t be tolerated. Rather, leave a or tag your friends or other businesses who may have dealings with her. Because this has come to light, and so publicly and with real, undeniable evidence, other fraudulent activities are also being discussed. I cannot comment on those. I can only comment on this. I won’t be sharing the evidence here as it contains personal information. The evidence was sufficient for the police to determine theft had occurred and the Australian Cyber Security Centre to determine fraud had occurred. Please take that as evidence enough.
