24.01.2022 What a fantastic day! Last Thursday we had our Athletics Carnival at Campbell Field in Ashbury. The children had a wonderful time and their sportsmanship was outstanding! A big thank you to Mr Caltabiano and the staff. Another big thank you to all our parent helpers, the day could not function without your help. And finally the children, you were amazing! The overall Spirit Trophy was awarded to the Green Colour House and the winning Colour House was Blue, congratulations!

12.01.2022 S1G played a guess who came in RE. We did a game of guess who to highlight our differences and see how well we knew each other. Lucia said I liked it a lot because I learnt about other people. Tilly said I liked it because God made us all different and in S1G we are all different.

11.01.2022 Stage 1 Gold Literacy Groups have completed the explanations unit with their very own book. They chose a topic of interest, collected information and produced some amazing work!

10.01.2022 Year 2 students explored the story of The Good Samaritan.

10.01.2022 Stage 3 is studying the Solar System and they researched it in small groups. The level of details and number of connections just blew us away. Some of them quote the origin of their names from Greek and Latin gods and goddess. Outstanding work year 6!

09.01.2022 In Year 5 on Friday we were learning about the layers of the Earth, tectonic plates and the effects the movement of the plates have on the Earth. We used Oreo biscuits to demonstrate our understanding.

08.01.2022 S1G are excited for our Writing morning on Factual Descriptions on Tuesday. Last Friday, we practiced in front of the Year 2s. The Year 2s were impressed with our facts. Jasper from Year 1 said A boy in Year 2 said WOW 2 times! Can’t wait to see the parents and carers on Tuesday!

07.01.2022 Stage 3 engaging in a talking and listening activity based on the picture book Lunch at 10 Pomegranate St. They were listening out for verbs, adverbs and Language of Instruction/Command from different recipes from around the world

07.01.2022 Kindergarten have been learning about fractions including halves. In this lesson students created pizzas to share with a friend and had to ensure they had equal toppings on both halves.

07.01.2022 S1G are working on wellbeing activities so we can grow in the image of God. We all wrote a compliment and put it in our envelope.

05.01.2022 St Vinnie’s Christmas Appeal was off to a great start today with the children wearing something Christmassy and bringing gifts for the Appeal. We thank everyone for their generosity. Forgot to bring something in? Not a problem, we are accepting gifts till next Monday when the Vinnie’s volunteers come and do their sorting.
