24.01.2022 Earlier this week some of our firefighters had the opportunity to conduct some training at the Emergency Services Academy. The opportunity to use such great facilities and learning new techniques was greatly appreciated.

23.01.2022 We are lucky to have some great men who have led our station over the years which has definitely brought a positive attitude to our station which is reflected in our brigade. Thank you to the men out there who contribute to society and the community. This years theme is Better health for men and boys. Your health is both physically and mentally. Can’t have one without the other. Keep them both healthy.

23.01.2022 Today we say goodbye to one of our own but wish him all the best for his future career. Two and a half years ago a local real estate agent walked through the doors at the station and immediately made himself at home. He has been a much respected member of 301 Glenbrook during his time but today takes a step further starting training to become a permanent firefighter with Fire and Rescue NSW. Graham from all of us at 301 Glenbrook we wish you all the best with your new career and look forward to hearing about your journey as it progresses.

06.01.2022 **VOLUME WARNING** A cool feature of the newly released iOS 14 is an accessibility feature for the hearing impaired called Sound Recognition which will bring ...up a notification on screen when your device hears a specific event. This is handy if the user has a Bluetooth hearing aid or similar alert device. To enable, go to: settings > accessibility > sound recognition > select on and what sounds you want alerts for (smoke alarms, fire alarms etc) This feature is useless without a working smoke alarm. Remember: only a working smoke alarm saves lives. - #frnsw #firerescue #PreparedForAnything #protectingtheirreplaceable #MoreThanFire #fire #rescue #hazmat #firefighter #firefighting #firefighterlife #emergencyservices - #australia #newsouthwales #oberon #centralwest #iphone11promaxphotography - Fire and Rescue NSW Oberon Council Oberon Business and Events Nadine Morton - Journalist

01.01.2022 This week is Mens Health Week, a week that focuses on the health impacts of mens environments. Our people are our most important asset and their mental and physical wellbeing is crucial to ensuring we are prepared for anything. This year Mens Health Week highlights the importance of taking the time to have regular check-ups with a general practitioner and regular check-ins with your loved ones. Some of the work Fire and Rescue NSW is doing to support our people in this ar...ea includes the recruitment of Wellbeing Officers to support the roll out of mental health programs and enhancing our personal protective equipment to reduce our firefighters exposure to carcinogens. Tips from www.menshealthweek.org.au to manage your health: Be active in getting medical help if you dont feel well, have a problem that wont go away or notice unusual symptoms. Its OK to seek help - dont try to do everything on your own or bury problems. Talk to your partner, friends and workmates. Push hard to get the help you need to manage your life, work, family and financial needs. Partners - be proactive in helping your men and boys get the help they and you need. Use available hotlines, speak with professionals to get the best course of action and be persistent. Dont leave it too late to seek help. For more information visit: https://www.menshealthweek.org.au/ Think of yourself as a race car. You can only push yourself around the track so many times before needing a pit stop. Sometimes it can just be the tyres and splash of fuel. Other times damaged panels need to be replaced or an engine change. Put yourself in the pits. Do the repairs and get back on the track. There is nothing wrong with a pit stop.

01.01.2022 Join us today at 10:00am!
