25.01.2022 Permit Burn - Muswellbrook Golf Club Wednesday 28th of April. Muswellbrook Fire Station has issued a Permit Burn to Muswellbrook Golf Club that will be commencing tomorrow at 05:00. 24.01.2022 Another adventurous day for the crew. Turning out to 3 calls and also conducting their skills drill for the fortnight. At 12:54 Rescue Pumper 392, Pumper 208, NSW Ambulance and the Hunter Valley Police District were responded to a MVA Persons trapped. It was downgraded to just a MVA and the area was rendered safe with no injuries recorded. Later on RP392 were responded to an unknown fire. On investigation the call was given in good faith. ... Then whilst we were conducting our skills drill we assisted public with the help of local police. If you were out and about near Bowman park you would have seen us training on our new single inlet monitor. We also conducted a refresher on our bigger dual inlet monitor. These can be very useful in major emergencies as they can free up FF’s. We even got a visit off some tired pups that needed a refreshment from the monitors. 20.01.2022 Over the past 24hrs the crew has responded to 4 incidents in the local area. 12/03/2021 At 13:37 RP392 was responded to a MVA heading north on the edge of town. 2 cars had made contact with each blocking traffic. Crews rendered the area safe. ... At 16:34 RP392 and P208 were responded to a unit fire. On arrival crews made entry into the unit to find a pot left on the stove which was removed and the unit was ventilated. Reminder to keep looking when cooking! Never the leave the kitchen unattended. This is the 7th structure fire in 2 weeks for the crews. Then at 18:41 RP392 and P208 were responded to an AFA at Muswellbrook Hospital. Crew made investigation and found a faulty detector. System was reset and handed back over. Then this morning at 03:36 RP392 was responded to a MVA. On arrival crews found a single vehicle had collided with a tree. Driver was assessed by NSWA and area was rendered safe. Hunter Valley Police were in attendance also. 19.01.2022 Get ready kids!! Santa is at the station and almost ready to roll. We’ll post a link to track his progress when we leave at 4pm. Just a reminder there are no lollies this year. Please stay on the footpath. Santa will be in the 2nd truck. If the Christmas music isn’t playing and the siren is running continuously, we are responding to a fire call and will be back ASAP.

17.01.2022 You may have seen the truck out and about around town today. That’s because today we were out conducting safety visits and we also stopped in at the Goodstart Early Learning for some fire education. The kids got to learn about get down low and go go go, plus where should their evacuation point be in case there is a fire at their house! Have you had this conversation with your kids? The safety visits were beneficial as we installed smoke alarms for some elderly residents as ...this is a part of this program. Anyone can benefit from these visits but most vulnerable are; Over 65’s. Those who live alone. People with limited mobility, hearing impairments or vision impairments. Residents who are supported by carers, family and friends. And anyone with English as a second language. If you want to register for a safety visit message us on here or contact the station. 15.01.2022 Last night at 18:28 RP392 was responded to a MVA persons trapped. Due to number of entrapment RP283 were also responded. Edinglassie were also in attendance to help with fire protection and clean up. 15.01.2022 EAST MAITLAND | Multiple Fire and Rescue Stations from the Newcastle Region including Fire and Rescue NSW Station 374 Maitland Fire & Rescue NSW Station 455 Rut...herford Newcastle Fire Station Fire and Rescue NSW Station 382 Morpeth and Fire And Rescue NSW Station 454 Tarro responded to a house fire early this morning and while the house was totally destroyed by fire, there is a happy ending to this tail. Six residents had managed to self-evacuate when crews arrived however, the family dog, Betty, was still trapped inside the home. Thinking the worst, firefighters worked for over an hour to bring the blaze under control. Towards the end of operations, with the structure badly compromised, crews noticed Betty moving through the rubble of the second story towards a balcony. Firefighters were able to use a ladder platform to lift Betty safely from the balcony and into the arms of her worried owners. Betty was very happy to be rescued and is being treated by the local veterinary clinic but is expected to make a full recovery. #MoreTheFire #PreparedForAnything #DogRescue

14.01.2022 2020 Santa Run!! Hey everyone we have finally ,locked in dates for the 2020 Santa Run. We will be conducting the Santa Run over 2 nights as we wont be handing out lollies this year due to COVID. But don't worry Santa will still be making his way around the fire truck. ... South/East side will be conducted on the 16th of December commencing at Bimbadeen Drive at 4pm. We will then hopefully make it to Thompson Street around 5:30pm. North side will commence at Carl Street on the 17th at 4pm. Santa asks that all children are supervised by an adult, and that you stay on the footpath as he comes past to keep everyone safe. If your street is not on the map below, please walk to the nearest street on the highlighted route. If you see the lights and sirens on, we are going to an emergency. 13.01.2022 Today Rescue Pumper 392 was responded to a MVA Persons Trapped. On arrival crews found 2 vehicles that had collided. NSW Ambulance was on scene and treating victims and no one is critically injured. Hunter Valley Police District and Roads and Maritime were on scene helping with traffic flow. Come down to Muswellbrook Fire Station and meet the local firies and see the equipment and gear we use in everyday situations. This will also be a special Open Day due to our new station being built down the road. So this could potentially be our last one with our current station. 06.01.2022 Has been a busy couple of weeks for the crew. Attending 4 structure fires, rescue incident involving a ring removal, yard fires and AFA’s. Last night Rescue Pumper 392 and Pumper 208 were responded to a house alight. On arrival crews found a house fully involved and initiated fire attack crews in BA to extinguish. Everyone was accounted for, at the house. The house was totally destroyed by fire. Timely reminder to get out and stay out. Never re-enter a building that is aligh...t. 05.01.2022 At 11:43am, RP392 was called to a MVA Possible persons trapped. On arrival, we found two vehicles, with all occupants safely out. 03.01.2022 Fire and Rescue NSW Station 392 Muswellbrook, along with Fire and Rescue NSW Station 208 Aberdeen were called to a report of a house fire in Muswellbrook at 05:54 this morning. On arrival, we found large amounts of smoke and flames issuing from a house alight and got to work. Crews in breathing apparatus entered the house to confirm there were no occupants and extinguish the fire. 02.01.2022 3 calls for the crew today. At 14:57 RP392 was responded to a yard fire. On arrival crews found occupants burning off in their backyard. Fire was extinguished and rendered safe. Then at 21:51 RP392 was responded to a hay bale alight at Muswellbrook showground. Crews got to work using the McLeod tool and high pressure hose reel and extinguished the bale. ...
