22.01.2022 This is our Karen. Stationed at busy Station 073 Yennora, our Karen doesn’t need to be told to wear her mask and the only video she is in at Bunnings is when sh...e is fundraising for the Firies Climb for Motor Neurone Disease and the only time she demands to speak to the manager is to compliment them. We love our Karen and all the wonderful Karen’s we serve in the community. See more

07.01.2022 Today is Saint Florian's Day or International Firefighters day. Saint Florian is the patron saint of firefighters. I wish all my fellow firefighters here in Australia and around the world a happy Saint Florian's day and I'm proud and honored to be a member of the greatest brotherhood and sisterhood any person could have the pleasure and pride to be apart of. St Florian was the first known commander of one firefighting squad in the Roman Empire. He lost his life, as well as t...hose of his colleagues, for protecting the same humane ideas which Firefighters all over the world share even today. Happy International Firefighters Day and to Firefighters everywhere stay safe!

01.01.2022 Cold nights have finally arrived and we had a timely reminder on Friday night to clean and check your fireplace before use. Fire and Rescue NSW Station 253 Casino were called to a house fire late Friday night. The fire appears to have started in a brick fireplace where embers may have escaped through gaps in the mortar. Fire impacted the kitchen area and spread up into the roof space. Structural damage to roof trusses made it unsafe to attack the fire directly so it took a while to safely extinguish. Fire and Rescue NSW Station 362 Lismore Alpha pumper and 2x local RFS crews assisted. Thanks and credit to Mick Stain for the photos.
