22.01.2022 Our Veterans suffer because of 2 main issues. The first is the trauma of war. This can bring on a myriad of phycological issues. Just imagine yourself in that situation! The second, whether you have been in a war or not is the suffering of PTSD due to massive changes. You miss the camaraderie, the way of life, the personal relationships that only exist between enlisted people (this has nothing to do with homosexuality). It is the bond that develops through trust and the honou...r through the Corps. These people suffer everyday and are mostly neglected by our government and society. Is there more that can be done to help? A minor part of the help is by donating to the "Black Dog Appeal" to help everyone with these dark issues. 18.01.2022 FROG BLOG FROG provides transport throughout the Wollondilly Shire. FROG provides a service to everyone in the area as we are so short of public transport and taxis. Our rates are $2.00 per Klm within the above boundaries. For longer journeys we would be pleased to provide a fixed price. We do not charge a flag fall however we do have a $10.00 minimum Southern Highlands Taxis have this on their website in answer to a question from a prospective ...passenger. How much for a taxi from Bowral to centinnial winery (Not our spelling) Name is with held. 7 Months ago (price rise since) $15-20 approx depending on pickup point. (Max 7 mins and 4 Klms) Uber charge for A 14-minute, 4-four-kilometre trip will cost you around $13.90, based on: A base fare of $2.50. A per-minute payment of $0.40 per minute, totalling $5.60. A per-km payment of $1.45 per km, totalling $5.80. We work the same as these companies, Police checks and working with children have been passed and all licencing issues have been completed. The difference however is that we provide a personalised service in quality transport. You will not have to wait hours as we are already in the area and live locally. Some of our customer base includes; 1. Medical Centres 2. Chemists 3. Physiotherapists 4. Kindergartens 5. Schools 6. Hospitals 7. Airports 8. Social Activities 9. 07.01.2022 Did you know that FROG has been operating all through the Covid/19 epidemic. Web have provided transport for many people and we disinfect our vehicles after eve...ry journey. Why do we do this? To keep you and your family safe. FROG will continue to do this so you can be assured that you travel safely. FROG is now able to take card payments providing you are with a bank that has Osco capability. This allows you to pay for your journey with your phone straight from your account to ours. FROG is now asking for deposits on all bookings. The deposit will be 10% of the quoted price. The balance will be payable the day prior to the departure date. If the journey is cancelled the 10% deposit is NOT refundable. FROG provides luxury transport for our region, the Wollondilly. Both Alan and myself are locals and we saw a great need for FROG. The taxi/Uber companies do not care about you, this is proven when you want to get home to your families at most hours of the day and night. This was proven on a Monday night when a young Mum with a one year old in a stroller and 6 bags called a taxi at 5pm to be picked up at Tahmoor station. She was advised the taxi was on the way. When she rang them back 1 hour later, she was told AGAIN that the taxi was on its way. Standing in the dark and cold she waited another hour with her baby. Frustrated, she looked up what services are available in our area and got the number for FROG. Imagine her surprise when FROG arrive 3 minutes after she called and helped her by loading her bags and stroller into the car, had the seat warmer on in a clean, disinfected and warm car. She was taken to her destination which was our minimum fare of $10.00. We helped her with her bags and stroller and said goodnight. FROG defies anyone to tell us that 13cabs and Uber care about you. They only want the money so unless you are traveling a good distance with a fare above a $100.00 you to can wait for hours. FROG is local, we care about our community and can go on all day about how we have helped our seniors as well. Use FROG so we can continue to provide a professional,caring, RELIABLE service to all of you, the people of the Wollondilly. Our customer base is growing slowly but surely and it is great to hear all the positive comments from our customers. I had the pleasure of taking Johanna and her son Chris to the airport to fly to Cairns to catch up with family. Rod, one of our regulars is happy with our service to and from Cambelltown and Thirlmere. I have just made a booking for Eric who is going to the cruise terminal with fami...ly for a 17 day holliday. The stories we hear and the laughs we have on the way to your destinations are terrific. This is all due to YOU, our customers spreading the word about FROG. 03.01.2022 Well, 8 weeks has gone by and it seems like a day since we started FROG. The response from our community has bee good. We do however need to increase the business to be viable and continue providing a service to the Wollondilly. Please, tell your friends and family about us.
