08.01.2022 Don't Sin Deliberately, Keep Your Faith Up Hebrew 10:26-29 says, If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice of sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. Anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy on the testimony of two or three witness. How much more severely do you think someone deserves to be punished who has trampled the Son of God ...underfoot, who has treated as an unholy thing the blood of the covenant that sanctified them, and who has insulted the spirit of grace? How can you ensure you do not insult the spirit? There is a difference between someone who makes mistakes and unknowingly sinning and those living in a deliberately sinning lifestyle. Those who turn away from God and deliberately sin have made their mind up that they are not going to do God’s will anymore, are tired of God’s word and want to drift away and go back to their old patterns. They are just like some of those Israelites trying go to Egypt. What happened to the Israelites, were they destroyed? I want you to close your eyes and think, will that happen to those who deliberately sin? We are not perfect; we can never be perfect as we are human and many sometimes deliberately sin. Do you ever worry about missing out on the promised land? I know in your heart you do not want to leave Christ and miss out on reaching eternal love with God. What we should do is put our faith in Him and then our sins will be covered by his blood. It’s so important to always keep our faith strong as then He will forgive our sins and look past our imperfections. Hebrews 10:39 says, But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed but to those who have faith and are saved. Sometimes we make mistakes and lose our battles as we are human; if you don’t lose your faith and believe in God we will finally enter the promised land. Hebrews 10:39 says, Who belongs to those who has faith.
