13.01.2022 1st camp-site on our Cape York Trip! Our first stop after leaving Cooktown is only an hour and a half away at an awesome spot called Eddies Elim Beach camp...ing. Easy road in and even a few big caravans in there as well $10 per person is a bargain to have water views like this. Heaps of beachfront sites and even more shady ones back in the trees. Firewood everywhere so bring your chainsaw, an epic spot for a beach campfire and a few beers! Showers, toilets and bins available as well. Check out the vid to see our camp setup! We have teamed up with OZtrail Leisure Products for this trip so we have loaded up with some of their great gear! Hot tip!! Elim beach is well protected from strong winds, so even though your right on the beach, the wind blows straight over the top A few nights here and we'll head for Weipa to check it out!
